  1. Now that BVuehave bizarrely dropped Sedgemen for Tungate, maybe we ought to bring him in forJorgensen (if the averages allow ofc.... ) who was probably only a temporary signing anyway? Sedgemen certainly seemed to like the track last night anyway and could finally give us a solid team imo
  2. Indeed - that's been sggested ( or Zmarzlik or Dudek or either of the Pawlickis)several times on here. It would be great for Lynn to sign PawelP - even if it just kept him away from Poole
  3. yes that was by far the best meeting he ever had
  4. Best wishes to Nik and indeed Chris if injury rumours are true.
  5. lol? It'd be a miracle if Lynn managed 40 pts with the team we have tonight !!
  6. Jeez .... it was going to be hard to win this meeting anyway... with no Kai it hardly increases our chances with not even one * decent reserve. Nothing against Wilko but strewth!!! *who's in for Simon anyway ? ? sorry this is in the wrong thread but there isn't a v. Wolves thread .....?
  7. how about Josh Bailey? .... Oh wait....... Lets hope Simon is not too bad and can soon return
  8. I remember that season too. Lynn were used to being somewhere near the bottom in those days but that year was exceptional .... no home wins all season then an away win at Swindon in our last match! Those were the days lol
  9. He'd be an awesome signing -the next talented Pole on their conveyor belt after zmarzlik/ Dudek and the Pawlickis....if we can't get him {or indeed one of those others this or next year it'd be a wasted opportunity imo. and Magic was a good + reliable signing wasnt he? So why would any other young Pole be a risk?
  10. When will promoters realise that supporters don't care whether a meeting goes ahead or not in such conditions? Apart from waitng ages for the track to be made rideable (hardly ever race-able) They want to see a good match where the state of the track doesn't affect the result . Its well known that a wet track nearly always makes it harder to deal with for the home side than their opponents.so a home win is usually a struggle! I've lost count of the number of times Lynn fans have had to endure long delays watching Buster + tractor doing his best to get the meeting started but its never successful entertainment-wise imo. Seems like the Lions had the same last night so you have my sympathies for what its worth ...
  11. Disagree with 'the Rockets deserved a point' statements some are saying .... -Yes it was a good meeting and both teams made it so, - Yes Harris was exceptional for Rockets butone rider does not make a winning team, as proved by Lynn in several previous seasons - IMO the rest of the Rockets let down Harris, especially Kennett + Nicholls. - The Stars were definitely the better team ... 6 of them anyway) and Therefore thoroughly deserved the 3 points to Rye's 0
  12. es it was lol.... hopefully it wont take much longer...
  13. yes i know i'm being somewhat unfair on Bailey - hes been thrown in the deep end and he does his best but he is obviously not ready yet for the top league. There must be smeone out ther who could occasionally beat an oposition reserve??
  14. Great result once again for the 6-man Stars If we ever get round to replacing Bailey we might actually finish in the top four !!
  15. Main reason for our comeback last night was our much improved gating after the interval. did Dale Allitt wave a magic wand?? Agree re- Josh Bailey ... he tries hard but is way out of depth - we have one great reserve in Kai but we need 2 like most other teams have! Rest of the team no complaints though (except their gating ofc ....
  16. Anyone know our team for Wednesday?? As far as I know we still havn't got a no7 and is Josh Bailey injured? Looks like we'll be sruggling at reserve ......
  17. He lived and breathed speedway and will be sadly missed - condolences to his family. thoroughly good bloke
  18. Meh ...ok but seems like some of the ' team-building aves* are too high then if thats the case :/ He was a squad member this year however rather than team member so maybe he can be again? *Maybe they should be called 'no chance of team-building' aves ....
  19. Interesting to note that everyone seems happy with the Stars team for 2017 ...as indeed I am -But it should be said that this team isn't substantially changed from 2016 strength-wise so we can only hope that Troy or Niklas can be the 3rd heatleader that was missing this year! As for the 7th rider - if averages allow it I think we ought to be looking at a rider at least of Simon Lambert's standard rather than an untried NL rider.... or is it compulsory that he must be? Also - what has happened to 'squads'? I thought that idea was finally going to be implemented in 2017?
  20. Whoever started the King to Lynn story certainly got some mileage out of that one lol Hopefully the next rumour - i.e Holder, has more truth in it
  21. gawd 'elp us if the first 4 of those are all Stars next year ...... would be a good PL side tho
  22. yep no probs if hes replacing Troy LOL ....... and Porsing / Jacobsen in a squad would be fine
  23. Y That average is below both NKI and RobL so no thankyou!! and Yes lol the clash with Ippo is another good reason not to sign him.
