  1. Wednesday is also Denmark's normal race day and there'd be some gaps in our side maybe?
  2. ty, but it was actually a reference to 'rye arse' or whatever you call it
  3. Agreed... but IF Leicester win or draw then we'll need 3 pts to overtake ... hence my question LOL - I bet you'd be talking from the other side of your anus if Rye needed the points ..... oh wait Poole are already 4th aren't they.... oh...I see your'e probly not a Rye supporter .... never mind the message is the same whoever your team is ....
  4. Whenever this meeting is re-run (5th or 6th sept?) .....as this is allegedly after the stupid cut-off date, will the points actually count?? If they don't it'd be bloody unfair on Lynn if we need the 3 points to avoid finishing bottom of league and relegation play-off??
  5. don't think it matters who was riding for Lynn at Rye .... if Ove Fundin had scored 15 we'd have still lost .....
  6. Stranger things have happened lol ...more likely than Lynn getting more points this season anyway
  7. Loooks like it was a wind-up? Anyway is this meeting (s) the only ones left this season? Bit of an abrupt stop if so....... oh wait -- we've still got the relegation play-off to come - silly me
  8. can but hope but the op hasnt said where the info came from ....so...?
  9. the doble header is off? thank goodness for that - 5 meetings in 4 days is totally ridiculous.... ...where does it say this tho??
  10. Should be a Ch'ship side next year we should be thinking about ......after Leicester's win at BVue last night Lynn will be hard pushed to avoid the relegation play-off imo.....
  11. So another bad day for British Speedway .....for several reasons ... 1-Having a cut off date for the stupid play-0ffs meaning that everyone has to cram in fixtures in the last few weeks, Even so you'd think that getting 14 home fixtures completed in 6months would be easy ....... even allowing for rain-offs...... but it happens each year. 2- doubleheaders are a bad idea for the very reason that happened lastnight ... If rider(s) are injured in the 1st meeting then only R/R or reserve replacement available .... unless ofc a reserve is one of the injured in whichcase you're bgrd ....again as happened last night. There is still no squad system in GB so having riders sitting in the pits is not an option 3- the refusal by the ref to cancel 2nd meeting even tho one side couldn't provide a team thus ensuring 2nd meeting was a total farce. I thought it was against SCB rules for a side to present a below strength team so why did the ref let it go ahead? It was Buster who requested cancellation so knew he'd probably get fined as well as forfeiting the match points. (not that anyone thought we'd have any chance of winning either match anyway) rather than proceed? It would seem that Buster cares more about the image of speedway than the SCB !?
  12. Well thank goodness for that ... after a dodgy start the Stars made it up in the 2nd half with a great comeback - led of course by Rob's faultless maximum, but with solid back up from the rest of the team too - notably THJ and Auty - the latter arguably the catalyst for the fightback. Only Simon missed out but he's hardly at his best atm with his recent injuries. If Porsing had been fit then the margin of victory would've likely been higher imo. AND the racing was top class too - we were all treated last night (as for the double against Wolves next week - not sure about that..... Even if the Stars sneak a win in the 1st match, wolves will have their set-ups sorted for the 2nd... but having said that we'll do well to sneak a win anyway imo) ......but who knows ?
  13. yeah youre right sorry.... they were the leaders last time I bothered to look at the Championship table. I've a feeling I may have to take more notice of it next year tho .......
  14. wouldn't be surprised - it'd mean Buster wouldnt get as much flak maybe as if he'd made the decision himself to drop down :/
  15. Well can this season get any worse for the Stars? Losing to Leicester would certainly put the icing on the turd. It'll probably end up with us finishing bottom and a play-off with bloody Ipswich ... gawd 'elp us.
  16. question is ... will we win another match this season? Thought we ought to beat the Rebels but what with Kai's EF and Rob's injury probs AND Porsing's lack of anything the Stars just fell short with Somerset taking full advantage so well done to them :/ As much as I like Palm-Toft he only seems to ride well for us when he's an away guest but hopefully he'll improve at home. Pity we couldn't have fitted Gomolski in tho...
  17. good heavens no, that would be rude. I just put the asterisks in the wrong place. I meant' Parrot' cos he says the same old things ad nauseum and often falls off his perch -when hes not on Matt Fraud's shoulder ofc.
  18. You and any other sensible speedway fan/promoter yes. ...ops sorry ...NOT the latter ofc....
  19. This 'sport' gets more unbelievable every day. How the hell can this be an official fixture with so many riders missing on both sides? Leicester must be really desperate to win if they insisted this meeting goes ahead - Lynn being the weakest ofc, This should have been called off as soon ss it was evident so many riders were nissing. Buster I assume has the power to have sanctioned that but I suppose there'd be cries of favouritism then. Its all so pathetic As Trees says lets all hope it buckets down and this travesty of a match is off (for the benefit of speedway!!
  20. Interesting to read Buster's comments about 'making a push for the play-offs' .... he's right however, but I feel it'll be the relegation play-offs ..... ah well we've got a good Championship team ready
  21. ... that its off do ya mean? right with you there .... can't understand why ppl want to go whatever the weather to see riders slithering round with little or no racing.
  22. Ironically Buster probably won't call this one off even tho the weather looks atrocious. I don't want to hang around in the wet and I doubt the riders won't want to ride in it either let alone race.
  23. we started the season with a potentailly strong team - yes ...but Holder took ages to get going and Batchelor has been poor of late and ofc both were involved in the Poole fiasco so that optimism has gone so better to start afresh for pt 2 of this season and maybe next imo.
