  1. Better hijacked by 'Sloth' than 'Greed'car Bears, 'Wrath'dale Hornets, the 'Pride'ing Racers or one of the other Deadly Sins maybe?
  2. Can I ask how far you travelled to the abandoned opening meeting and, whether you have any proof that the promoters did not know that the track was unfit before the riders did their warm up laps? You seem to be 'in the know'.
  3. You're having a 'giraffe' SS? 6 point win?! Harris is not firing on all cylinders, certainly not at KL on Wednesday or in Poland. And I'm not sure how the Bees can get a track specialist to Guest for Woryna? Poole will win most if not all of their home matches by a minumum of 20 points this season, but nearer 30 points in this match. You must be drumming up support in fear of a drop in crowds due to the foregone conclusion of matches at Wimborne Road.
  4. Thank you, very kind. I am backing my old mate Tails will improve it.
  5. You guess Tatum did? I would've thought you would know, seemingly to be an expert, in the know and all that. He was fast when I saw he do a few laps at Arena Essex recently. Thank you for asking, but my son has not ridden that fast around BP yet, but did quite well on other training days, particularly at the EWR which suited his riding style better than some of the other tracks. Sidewinders was good for him and his favourite. Blackbird Road was a good venue and track, but the mesh fencing caught out a few and prompted the end of the careers of a few peers of the time. Having experienced the passion for speedway in the local community there and being a fan of the sport, I was disappointed when the venue closed and pleased when the new venue opened. By the way, I was asking whether you had ridden at the current Leicester track rather than at Blackbird Road.
  6. Tatum has ridden the track 'fast' has he? Must be ok then. Your opinion. We are all free to have one. I haven't ridden at Beaumont Park, but my son has and I did ride at Blackbird Road in the 70's. Have you ridden there?
  7. GP: Nicki Pedersen SWC: Nicki Pedersen's team EL: A team that Nicki Pedersen has ridden for PL: A team that Nicki Pedersen has ridden for NL: A team that Nicki Pedersen has ridden for
  8. 3 of the 4? Which 3? Would one of them be the Swindon manager, whose team lost? Would one of them be Nigel Pearson, who has never laid down a track and whose opinions are questionable? Would one of them be Kelvin Tatum, who has ridden the track how many times? Or would one of them be Sophie Blake? 'Many' Names please? 'My comments' Evidence please? So easy to be negative, join the flock and knock others efforts.
  9. What evidence do you have that you offered any input 5 years ago, or is this continued rhetoric on your behalf? So easy to say, 'I did this', or 'I did that' behind a pseudonym on a forum, without producing any evidence. Who are you referring to when you state 'Sky Experts'? Nigel Pearson? Kelvin Tatum? Sophie Blake? Or Rosco during his interviews?
  10. Or your Posts, continually knocking Leicester speedway. At least Leicester has a speedway track, a promoter who is willing to sink his money into it and track staff who are willing to try and make improvements to the racing. Many people in many parts of the country would be pleased simply just to have that facility available to them.
  11. Are you as boring in real life as your posts on here, your job and your avatar suggest?
  12. Thought the 'HL List' didn't exist from 01 May, so it wouldn't be there to re-visit it. The inclusion/exclusion of riders on the List that served for team building at the start of the season is the crux of the issue. But there are always different opinions on the interpretation of Regulations, for example the interpretation on the elevation of EL Reserves into EL 1 - 5's this season. Some added the word 'starting' into their interpretation of the Regulation, which was incorrect and has been proved to be incorrect. Maybe the 'misinterpretation' of Regulations is a South Coast phenomena after all?
  13. Chris Morton, Les & Phil Collins, Kenny Carter, Marvyn Cox, Martin Dugard, Scott Nicholls, Simon Stead all 'half decent' and represented their country. Kennett, Bridger & Haines all beat Woffinden to win titles, bet they'll remember that for a long time. And bet Robert Lambert will remember who won this year's for some time to come too. Nature of an U21 title is that some will progress more than others but, as screm says, it will be in the record books forever with yor name there as a National title winner.
  14. Quite a few decent riders on the roll of honour Quite a few decent riders on the roll of honour
  15. Yep, certainly should: Lambert 15, Ellis 13, Bates 11. My points addition is worse than my count-back definition.
  16. FIM/BSI pick as 1st Reserve after finishing 4th on 10 points in the SGP Challenge behind the three automatic qualifiers? Exactly. Against different opposition on a different day on a track prepared differently. Coventry could easily be accused of fielding a PL side plus Harris that day (plus a disinterested Hans Andersen) too. Different opposition, different day. Form is temporary, Class - if you have any, is permanent as is said.
  17. Lambert hadn't won the 20 Heat meeting until heat 19 last night, and Adam Ellis hadn't confirmed his place on the rostrum until the last Heat. The excitement went on long enough to hold my attention and was quite happy to go home after Heat 20. Count-back to decide places after that would've been fine by me, with Lambert 1st, Bates 2nd & Ellis 3rd.
  18. Injury to Jarek Hampel? And Grajczonek is still affected by his incident with Lewis Kerr at the PL 4TT last season, and from hitting a pig on his way back from Round 2 of the Aussie Championships in January. Or maybe they are not EL standard at the moment, are not in good form and were beaten by a better set of riders at Leicester and last night? Only Rosco, for the team, and Ronnie Russell, for the track, to blame for last night's loss.
  19. I was quite happy to wait until Heat 19 for the winner of the meeting to be confirmed and for Heat 20, to complete the rostrum places. How good is JPB at 15, by the way?
  20. Only if Eastbourne win cat? And just the T-shirt? With no match at the EWR this Sunday, I may well make the 500 mile round trip to the south coast for the weekend (I have relatives in Hastings) and pop along to this and take in Mildenhall's fixture on the way back. Weather forecasts aren't great and I see that Somerset's match tonight has been called off already due to warthogs on the track. Fingers crossed the Eagles v Kings fixture survives. Adam Ellis did as well as could be expected at the U21 Final last night, finishing 3rd. Beaten by two riders who ride in the EL - oh, hang on, Adam does too , though Robert Lambert won't thank him for messing him up in the Final. That JPB is some special talent at 15. Yes, have to worry for the IoW. Running 'meaningless' fixtures at the start of the season may be all well and good, but an abandoned fixture won't either. Can only hope it gets better for them.
  21. As S4K says, the pressure is all on Eastbourne, and their Elite League temporary guest. Interesting that Eastbourne's intention to put Harris at Reserve and utilise RR at #2 has been reversed. Did the club make that decision, or were they reminded of the Regulations by the BSPA? Think I remember both Ayres and Shanes beating Adam Ellis at Central Park last season (as did Morley and Baseby), so they have done it before - on a proper race track, and Adam binned it a couple of times when Kent visited Perry Barr so, to use an Al3x200 line - that won't do his confidence any good at all. This should be a cracking meeting and harks back to the days of the rivalry between Eastbourne, Canterbury and Rayleigh. Great stuff. Lets hope they get through the 15 heats with all the riders unscathed.
  22. Oh dear. Jason Doyle will be wanting to go back to Leicester if this carries on much longer for Swindon. Maybe when the new track is ready things will improve. Only a couple of months now isn't it? How come so many others saw Rosco's team as Premier league standard plus Doyle, but he couldn't?
  23. It's always fun trying to decipher the Regulations, particularly this year after the way the Tactical Ride facility for the PLC was re-written but not interpreted how it was, but FWIW, I think you are right in that: in 2016 a PL Rider with an Assessed Match Average of 8.00 (Category 1); 7.00 (Cat. 2) or; 5.00 (Cat. 3) cannot drop below an Assessed Match Average of 5.00 and whilst they are on an Assessed MA, they cannot be dropped. Holub is a Cat 2 on an Assessed MA of 7.00 and therefore cannot drop below a MA of 5.00. So, say his Calculated MA is 3.55 when (if) he has ridden the necessary 4 x home and 4 x away meetings to obtain a CMA then, even though his average is lower than 5.00 he has to continue to ride on an Assessed MA of 5.00 and, as this is an assessed average, he cannot be dropped from the team. If his average rose above 7.00, he could then be dropped. It has been suggested also that, any 'existing foreign rider' who is not on an assessed average will have to start the 2017 season on an Assessed MA of 5.00. For example, Paco Castagna at Ipswich, if he ends this season on a CMA of, say, 3.50, will be assessed as a 5.00 for the start of 2017. Just my interpretation though and may be way off here.
  24. Haven't Scunthorpe re-declared their 1 - 7, with Ashley Morris replacing Klindt and therefore there is no Facility available for Klindt, only for Holub until he returns from injury?
