  1. Excuse me. How the heck did you infer that from my tongue in cheek, self deprecating reply? Oh dear, are you one of these immature posters who always has to win the debate and sulks and storms off like a petulant teenager if they can't get their own way? Then maybe you are a petulant teenager... Did you not see my post #76? That's a sign of a precious poster isn't it now? Good grief, lighten up man. A little bit of banter never hurt anyone and life is too short. Enjoy your speedway.
  2. Is that what the contractor's put in the sub-soil on the 3rd bend at the NSS, which has caused water to seep up through the surface? If it was, it certainly did beat the starter, the referee, the riders and everyone else. (E-mailng the Belle Vue club has proved a joy recently. No response seen to many questions asked.)
  3. It's ok with you then if we support the British World Champion at the SWC Final at Belle Vue in July? I remember being at Rye House in 1992 just after Gary Havelock had won his World Title in Wroclaw and everyone was saying: 'this will be shot in the arm that speedway in Britain needs'. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out like that and speedway carried on its spiral downwards from the heady days of the mid-70's when, if the World Champion was in town, it was promoted and would add numbers to the attendance. Now, would it? Maybe a few, but not enough surely to right all of the sport's ills? I tend to ignore posters who commence their post with the words: 'If you bother to read the post properly'. To me it smacks of someone who feels they are superior, like my old English teacher - and he was a right pr1ck too. TBH, I thought BWitcher was being rude and condescending to Stoke Potter, so I posted in support. There are a few posters on here who seem to debate a subject by trying to impose their opinion on others by repeating the same thing over and over again, getting louder as they do. Just like an English tourist in, say, Portugal who can't speak the native language and to get their point across, they start speaking s-l-o-w-e-r and LOUDER, before waving their arms around, banging their fist on the counter and jumping up and down. They normally always have to have the last word or, storm off in a huff, like a petulant teenager. No names mentioned of course. Always gives me a chuckle though.
  4. I didn't think we were discussing unpredictability, rather BWitcher's firm opinion that there the gap between top riders and others is not the same now. Which proves that you can't compare the gap between then (say 1976) and now (2016), so still just an opinion then. OK, lets try Heat Leaders versus No.s 4 & 5 by MA then - 1976 versus 2016. Present some data and we can see then whether it is fact or opinion. Thanks.
  5. Great set of images there Steve and can for once pick myself out behind the fence. Leigh Lanham must have been camera shy on Saturday.
  6. So, Andre Compton rode in Christian Henry's Testimonial at Newcastle yesterday and scored three heat wins in his four rides from a Reserve position, and Ty Proctor is now looking at 17th May as the date he leaves Australia. Will either, or neither, be included in any team changes that may happen in a few weeks time, after Holub has ridden the necessary number of matches and his Assessed MA drops from 7.00 to 5.00? Or will a way be found to replace Holub in the line-up?
  7. Sorry everybody, I can't get the Liar Troll ('Game On' the poster who said they had proof that Dakota North's father was not injured) off my back - which is not a pleasant sight, or experience. Hope you can get your Thread back now and Enjoy your speedway folks. Hope it happens soon.
  8. Why is it an incorrect observation? Do you have any statistics to prove your opinion that the difference is less now? For example, how many Reserves beat Heat Leaders in, say, 1976, compared to 2016? Until you can prove an opinion with stats, it remains an opinion and not a fact, as you well know. Do you really believe that if you shout louder than the other person, you are right and they will give in and agree with you? Stoke Potter has as much right to his opinion as you do.
  9. Bothered? And believe me, that was not an attack, just an observation. Enjoy your speedway, whether it be live, streamed or recorded - if you can tell the difference of course. And if you are upset, I am sure Starman will have some used Speedway Stars for you to wipe your eyes with, as long as he hasn't used them to wipe Matt Ford's ass with first.
  10. You were the butt of an imbecilic post SS? We can't be having that now, can we? The guys who regularly post on the Polish League Live on TV thread and know what they are watching had a good old laugh didn't they, eh? And there was me thinking that you were the font of all knowledge when it comes to speedway and Kodi. Maybe not then. And you actually ventured outside of Dorset to support your beloved Poole Pirates? Well done you. Medal on its way. Always beware of the M25, especially on a Friday. Regular travellers outside their cosy little environs would know that. (Now, who was it that used to be a Swindon fan? And how much is a one way ticket to Rome?) For your information, Poole Town play at the Tatnam Ground, School Lane, Poole BH15 3JR. I'm sure The Dolphins fans would only be too pleased to see you there. Their promotion leaves them two levels below the Football League. Poole Town are your beloved Poole's local football club by the way. Over 1,000 people at their match yesterday. My nephew was one of them as he lives within the large urban conurbation you describe - and he is not an imbecile. No surprise, I suppose, that a Poole fan does not care about the Speedway Regulations. Easy for anyone to find and download off the SCB web-site. Some of you Poole guys really do set yourselves up with some of your comments on here. Now, back to this fascinating, No Sympathy for Matt Ford thread. I'll concentrate on the last few heats at West Row (that's in Suffolk by the way).
  11. I used to enjoy reading the posts on this Thread and learning from the regular posters insight and obtaining the links to Polish meetings. SSomething seems to have changed that recently, but can't quite put my finger on what it is just yet...
  12. Well help me please and post a link to the pertinent post. There's a good little Liar Troll. Until I read it, you know I won't believe you.
  13. Which words of mine do you not understand now, Liar Troll? I can help with your education into the world of human beings and the 21st century if would like me to. As my posts appear to cause you so much consternation, why do you simply not bother reading them, or put me on Ignore - I can go through the procedure for doing that too if you need me to, Liar Troll. Now back under your bridge and let the nice people discuss all things Belle Vue 2016. There's a good little Liar Troll.
  14. The Liar Troll would know, wouldn't he? (Still can't find your post that you claim you made to fess up to being a Liar to Tsunami.)
  15. Had worse. Gapes? Don't think I've ever had them. Used to have a gap in my teeth when I was younger and remember my mouth being gaping wide open when I saw my first naked female, but not Gapes, sorry, Irk. (By the way, my post was in response to little Lewy whose post I returned in kind with humour and no harm intended.)
  16. Always thought it was more Bournemouth and Boscombe rather that Bournemouth and Poole (or Poole and Bournemouth). Wasn't AFC Bournemouth once known as Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic? The college has three sites doesn't it? One in Bournemouth, one in Parkstone (so nearly Poole) and one out by the Golf Course, so understandable I guess that they call it The Bournemouth and Poole College. (Unlike the university in Norwich being called the University of East Anglia and the one in Ipswich being called University College Suffolk. A lot more confusing.) Anyway, this has nothing to do with people having No Sympathy for Matt Ford, or whatever this thread is about.
  17. No they are not! Who told you that ? Oh dear, another Precious Poster, almost as Precious as the postman poster. (Lights blue touch paper and retires a safe distance.) How can you have taken someone seriously who posted about woodchucks chucking wood? Oh well, never mind. Not very clued up are these Panters fans, having a go at you for supporting them? At least NEP has now apologised to you. Apology accepted, thank you P89. I see that you miss-read my post on the Panters thread where I said: "Smug, really? (Don't believe that I am an Edinburgh supporter)" as me being a Monarchs Fan (aka 'The Smugs' as per the Glasgow fans). Enjoy your speedway.
  18. Finished making a fool of himself on the Polish Leagues Live on TV thread, by not realising that he was watching recorded matches via his new kodi toy, and again on the Poole v Coventry thread, by not realising that the Bees could not use a Guest for the injured Woryna, SS now claims Bournemouth as part of Poole to promote his beloved town, seemingly not realising that Poole's own football team had won their own league title this season and been promoted to the National League South (congratulations Poole Town FC). Maybe best to keep at what (you think) you're best at in future, otherwise the Village Idiot award may be prized away from your friend and lap-dog, Starman this year.
  19. Haha nice one Shads. And by the way, I'm not black. You Racist . A speedway fan who attends Scunny regularly (as it's close to my current home and provides good racing) who is off to Mildenhall this afternoon on the way home from staying at my brother's house in Essex. On that basis, I thought I would visit the Forum and read the comments on last night's meeting and saw the post about Proctor going to Peterborough and thought I would comment and thought that I would post my opinion on where he may end up in the UK. There is space with the Scorps, with Holub due to drop to an assessed 5.00, Klindt gone, Morris on a temporary, Taylor Poole's sponsors licence available, etc. but what do I know, eh? I didn't realise that that certain sections on this Forum were closed shops, so please accept my apology for invading your private space. (Pot/Kettle when I see your posts popping up all over the Forum?) Anyway, the majority of my posts are made with good natured humour and with a lack of malice and arrogance intended. It appears that they have not been taken as such on here. Far too serious and protective it seems. My first visit to Hoddesdon was in the mid-70's. I will think twice about returning again now. (I will always remember Kelvin Mullarkey being knocked off on the 1st bend by one of his team-mates in one of the meetings I attended at Rye and Kelvin getting up and starting throwing punches at him. Memory fails on who the other rider was though.) Have spent my Sunday afternoon in the pits there too on a number of occasions too, assisting various Australian riders of varying standards... Haha. So very, very, very wrong. Armadale is one of the few tracks in the UK that I have not been to. An apology would be pleasant, but not expected. EDIT: to add, I'm stunned, how on earth did you assume I was a Monarchs fan?!
  20. Talk about sticking your nose in where its not wanted. As you say, riders will ultimately go where they want, where the best deal is for them and, maybe where they feel most comfortable, welcome and where a sponsor's licence is available. Good luck to the lad wherever he ends up.
  21. Tyron is due in the UK on 17th May. Guess his destination club is already decided. Where was Tay Tay due to ride this season? Did the Scorps need a sponsor's licence for him? When will Holub's MA drop to 5.00? We will see and as Comet Dan says, good luck to the lad wherever he ends up.
  22. And i have had more hot meals than salads. What has Crump and Sullivan, etc. riding in their time got to do with the club that Ty Proctor end up at? How many Aussies are currently in the Panters team and how many in the Scorps? Was Taylor Poole not due to join Scunthorpe before he decided to retire? What was it that an ex World Champion who was spannering for an Aussie rider at a recent meeting in East Anglia saying about Tyron's likely destination in the Trowel & Hammer pub this week? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Maybe we will have to wait and see which direction Ty turns out of the airport on 17th May. The arrogance of some Panters fans in assuming they will get first dibs on a rider as they are bigger than another club never ceases to amaze. Anyway, enjoyed the meeting yesterday after diverting there from my planned trip to Arlington and now off to West Row. Son of Dave / nephew of Gordon is flying this season. Really pleased for him and good to see the young Pinjar Flyer scoring points. Paid 18 versus Paid 8 from Reserve was the decider. Appears the real Grondal turned up last night after his performance at Foxhall (not his favourite track) on Thursday. Both sets of supporters have entertaining sides there and have much to look forward to this season. Enjoy your speedway.
  23. Oh good, I do have a troll. How pleasant. (I have spelt something wrong have I and it has offended you so much you felt compelled to create a post? How sad and lonely it must be in your troll cave.) No you haven't answered that one. You know you haven't. I know you haven't. Other members of the forum know you haven't. The posters who support the club you purport to support know you haven't. If I am the weakest link, we all know now who is the Missing Link. 'On The Game'? More like Off Your Trolley. Goodbye Troll. Hope you enjoy your lunch of cubic zirconium.
  24. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Got that evidence you promised yet? (I do have a troll. Enjoy reading my posts Mr Liar) Haha. Wasn't the one I was thinking of, but 'Game On' may well have been one of Hinge and Bracket?
