I saw the thread title and presumed it was someone asking if he'd ride again or had officially retired. Plus, if someone snuffs it then the post is in general discussion

Judging by the quote from tyretrax, there has been threads with similar titles that lead to something else, too.

2013 - Changes / What Do You Like ?
squall replied to Lewis's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As has been said many times, not possible. -
Berwick - Rymel, Makovsky, and Franc all made their debuts together, all on 9.00 averages.

Sure I've seen somewhere that Sunday's would be a 6pm start. Would any fans prefer Sundays to Thursdays? All I've seen/heard is stick with Thursdays.

Bit harsh making them start a lap behind at Plymouth! -
When are you going to accept the rules that every team has to put up with. You're opinion of how speedway should be run doesn't change anything. Double points and playoffs were in the 2012 rules so swallow your pride an congratulate Scunthorpe on becoming Premier League Champions for 2012. You've said a gazillion times you don't like this and that rules so stop bleating on about it!!!

1. your teams top rider? For pure entertainment - Richard Hall. 2. your teams most improved rider? Joe Haines. 3. best match witnessed? Sheffield vs Rye House in the Pointless Crap Trophy 4. worst match witnessed? Sheffield vs Leicester - Leicester weren't interested, and their fans didn't understand the rules (chanting "Who are ya!" after getting a 3-3 while 8 points down) 5. did your team do better or worse than expected? Worse...but only just! 6. best fans to visit your track? Berwick, simply for believing that Spinny and SKJ had walked out halfway through the meeting 7. best track( other than your own team) Scunthorpe. 8. worst points of the season? Jake Knights rider replacement ride.

I'd take Hall back. He provided most of the entertainment this season and that's what I pay to see.
-
Lambert looks doubtful. Sarjeant AND Knight at reserve would be suicide. I'd take 1, but not both.
-
Pickard hasn't been around as much as you'd think. He seemed to click overnight and become a decent rider. If a team will let him stay in their team, he will reach PL level.

A playoff final interests me no matter which 2 teams are in it. A 4TT qualifier doesn't. Each to their own.
-
Maybe the way forward is to scrap the mini league bit and just go for pure knockout. We have a season of league meetings. Playoffs should be lose over 2 legs and you're out. Top 4 teams. Top team picks their opponent. 2 semis. Winners to final. Next 8 teams have Pointless Crap Trophy starting with 1/4 finals, then semi's, then final.
-
When will people learn? The rules state at the start of the season that the team who wins the end of season playoffs is crowned the PL champions. We start in March, end in October then some clowns have to start up that "the team who finished top should be called the champions". Be the same again next year, and the year after that... And Parsloes, the playoffs decided the champions before the promotion/relegation. 2007 highlight - stuffing Kings Lynn in the semi. 2007 low - getting stuffed by Rye House in the final!

Begged work to let me start at midnight...or even 11pm (take 1 pissing hour unpaid) so I could attend this. The useless tossers refused...but let someone go home 2 hours early this morning (and left us in the deep stuff). What makes it even more of a joke is tonight is the annual audit, and we'll be sat around waiting an hour before we can work anything! Hope it's a fantastic meeting for everyone...as long as Scunny win!

If Sheffield run on Sunday's then that's me screwed unless I quit my job! Moving to Sunday's could gain 300 new fans, but lose 350...
