All that raving Sarah was doing tonight about her lead -
Just got back from this (I must be mad as I've hardly any time to sleep before PLRC then work!) Hard lines to Hughes, he just about had Cookie licked when throwing his chain, but I must congratulate him on how well he took it. A lot of riders would have spat their dummy out over it, but Kyle jumped off his bike and congratulated Craig. A good sport of the highest order. The meeting itself was rather crap, with only the interest of Cook keeping me awake (the caffeine in the coffee Shadders bought me may have helped). This meeting needs a new venue. I'd nominate Scunny - it's fair and everyone can ride it = less falls = less delays = I get home earlier

Opinions would change on Sunday if Karlsson scored 15 then suffered bike trouble in the final and finished last, handing the win to Ashworth on his home track -
British Under 18 Final

You're missing the point. We are saying that a meeting should be run over 20 heats, 5 rides per man, each man meets each man once, thus seeing who scores the most on an even playing field, giving you the meeting winner. We do not like this format that means someone can score a 15 point max, thus beating everybody in the meeting, then someone can get beat more than once in the qualifiers then sneak in via a semi then win the final while the previously unbeaten rider has bike trouble moments before the final starts -

Lucky Jerran more like. Joe was a class above, won the meeting, then suffered bike problems before a race that isn't needed. This meeting proves that we need to go back to 20 heats and that's your lot
