British Final And Semi Finals
squall replied to gypilgrim's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Well there's a few tossers on here, basically a few are saying "the top 16 haven't qualified for the final" well so what?! Frampton and Tully deserve their place in the final. Woffinden was gating like Josh Auty in a coma and that showed in his results. The rain came and nobody could change that. The track was under water and they abandoned it. As for those people who only go to meetings when they're supporting a rider - I asked a few Sheffield fans today if they would have gone last night if Hall and Ashworth weren't in the meeting - they all said yes. If any Wolves fans don't go to the BRITISH FINAL just because they have no home rider to support then it's their loss and it shows what they feel about British speedway. I hope the Semis continue next year. Or even venture out more and start with NL riders/PL reserves and work up. I'm sure Craig Cook would have made himself known as well as Charles Wright, plus Lee Smart, etc -

British speedway cracks me up so much. Heard that the result stands, and it doesn't stand all within an hour. Then they want a rider in Dorset and Norfolk at the same time -

Nope. Awful crowd. Take out the fans who wouldn't usually be there on a Thursday, i.e Scunny, Coventry, Wolves, then there'd have hardly been anyone there! -

I wouldn't have thought season tickets were valid. It's not a Sheffield meeting -
Excellent! I seem to take more notice of the 2nd half with Team Viking than the actual meeting. I just hope that no Vikings team managers need any heat results....

Yes please -
Don't get me wrong, it's more than I'd want to pay, but hotels up here are about £60 per night, so paying £50 down Cardiff isn't extortionate, just the going rate and not upped to a ridiculous amount

Buzz Burrows
squall replied to yorkshire fishcake's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
What's it got to do with Machin and Godfrey? When has Buzz rode for Sheffield or Scunthorpe? I agree he deserves a meeting as he's a top bloke who will always stop and chat with anyone (it's usually my dad who stops Buzz from leaving!) but I don't see why a team he hasn't rode for should make room for a meeting -
I'm paying just over £100 for two nights in a double room. Hardly extortionate

It cost me last year! Me and the missus were skint, starving, then your takeaway turned up under my nose

Will there be takeaway delivered?
