No mate. Having an almost 6 pointer at reserve makes it difficult to fit a big hitter in at 1. If it is Harris, Nicholls & KK it’s a decent team in this league but that says a lot about the strength of the league.

Interesting idea although I'm not sure how it would work logistically or financially. None of those riders are currently set up over here. They could also demand huge pay rates for a call up.

That's right you can't. You also can't maintain a professional sport without enough paying customers. I don't disagree about set race nights, in theory they should work, in practice we'll have to wait and see. i agree re tapes up & delays. If running during the week this needs to be a prompt start and meetings run quickly.

Yeah but these seem to have been picked because they don't clash with Poland & Sweden. I haven't seen anything about whether these days actually work for fans. With no big money tv deal, no big sponsor, the fans money might be the difference between clubs surviving or closing.

It is but has there been any research into what nights fans will attend? The sport needs a younger audience to grow and you may not get many kids attending on school nights. The Monday night tv matches are not a good indication to attendances as they were discounted.

I agree mate. I think he'd be a great heat leader but not a number one at this stage. We need someone capable of winning heats 13 & 15.

Not my cup of tea for regular Speedway. I like the team aspect but thats being destroyed now.

Not surprised. These things need to be organised well in advance. Playoffs have ruined Speedway for me with the season over at start of September for lots of teams. The sport always looked better under floodlights but now we end before we need to switch the lights on. It might not be long before the sport is just a series of open meetings.

Agree with the bottom part. We had Linus & NBJ as young riders looking to make a name for themselves. We also had Ekberg who although I think had raced in UK before, was a fantastic signing for the club. It's about building up a knowledge of riders and contacts in the speedway world.

That's where our lack of experience in the management roles hinders us. Not enough knowledge of riders and European speedway in the initial team building and all the changes we've seen at Rye so far.

I agree with your post. This season the track seems to have the one racing line.

They could have got an extra race point or two in some matches with better decisions by the team manager.
