  1. "Tired or just being a tool the latter wins for me." - I reckon that is pretty much calling me a tool and a personal attack , but . like I said, I'm a big lad and can look after myself , so no worries. My "yawn" was in response to your post , presumably having a dig at BB for not turning up at a recent meeting, so I don't class it as a pointless post. But, hey, it's all about opinions and I ain't gonna lose any kip worrying about what you think about me
  2. Thought the idea of posting on a forum was to "attack" the post not the poster but feel free to call me a tool my shoulders are broad enough. A bit like your gob eh
  3. It is indeed - but Redcar always maintained that they would stay loyal to Busch once he was fit again and, as I understand it, Coty was made aware of this and always kept up to date with any developments. Hopefully he'll get sorted with another club and it's great to see a club / promotion staying loyal to a rider and keeping their word
  4. Only in speedway could they come up a ruling that a opposition rider can only take part if sanctioned by the home team's paramedic! That is unfair on Peterborough and the paramedic, putting undue pressure on them, damned if they do , damned if they don't. - And I say that as a Bears fan Charles Wright will have " served" his 9 days compulsory "time out" by Sunday therefore should be clear to take part. Travelling Bears fans won't know what team they can expect to see riding for us until just before the meeting - plain daft IMO.
  5. Jeez, can't you answer straight forward questions?
  6. Explain where I was being rude or disrespectful? When did you become the forum's psychologist?
  7. Is there a shortage of commas, full stops and paragraphs where you live?
  8. Fair point, but, by the same token, the decision to award the meeting, does Redcar Bears no favours at all. I don't meaning the awarding of points, it goes deeper than that. Kevin Keay and his team have worked extremely hard to put Redcar Bears back on the map. The quality of speedway has improved immensely and attendances are up. Imagine what many supporters , and , more importantly, new supporters, must be thinking about the sport right now when decisions like this are made. I bet you, like me, have introduced people to the sport and then tried to explained the rules and regulations to them!
  9. Here's an idea - why bother holding any meetings at all? Just ring Mr Vatcher and he can decide the result as he pleases
  10. I bet Stewart Dickson will be one happy man today. I also hope that he's also reflecting on his less than dignified outburst on the night of the meeting. Still, moan long and loud enough and you might get your way. For what it's worth, under normal circumstances Glasgow deserved to win, but, yet again, the clowns that run speedway have managed to make the sport a mockery
  11. I've been in sponsors lounge on a number of occasions and have been asked to choose rider of the night. Maybe because I have attended speedway since the 60's I tend to look at individual performances as opposed to the points racked up. If , I felt a rider had performed well above his perceived level of ability, I may well give him the award - one one occasion I was asked to pick a rider after heat 10! You can imagine the debates that followed due to exceptional performances in heats 13 & 15 by other riders! At the end of the day , it's a bottle of plonk , a photo shoot and the kudos of having that title for the night! Just to add to my previous post, the guy who provided the sponsorship also goes to the track every Thursday as a paying spectator!
  12. The rider of the night is chosen by a member of the Sponsor's invited party - it is also chosen before the end of the meeting. Bear in mind that the sponsor may well ask somebody to choose the rider of the night who has never been to a speedway meeting before or may be a child / relative of a guest . I wouldn't try to read too much into the award - the riders will know who has or hasn't put in a shift on the night!
  13. The sort of lowlife who would need that bit of equipment if caught by " supporters" before the law did
  14. As if speedway doesn't already make life difficult for itself by operating such a completed set of rules to begin with, no wonder it's so difficult getting more support through the turnstiles
  15. One of the worst home performances I've seen from a Redcar or Middlesbrough team. Well done to The Witches for doing what they had to do, which wasn't a lot (Danny King was a class apart from anything on the track) Wooden spoon beckons yet again for the Bears and it's difficult to see how we move forward , given the dramatic fall in attendances and disharmony in and around the club I would argue that the team had everything to play for, league position, team and individual pride, sense of responsibility to the paying public....not withstanding the fact that the promotors should be doing everything within their power to ensure they keep what support they still have , should they be serious about running a Premier league team next season. You are being too kind and compassionate saying Redcar weren't good
  16. According to JD we can cover Busch's R/R with any rider which should help!
  17. So politically incorrect ...but I found that reply so funny
  18. Loyalty can often apply to both sides in a relationship....I'm curious to know why a promotion should be loyal to a rider who doesn't want to ride for them
  19. He's not exactly been "pulling up any trees" with his scores so I don't see it as too much of a loss to the team. That said , on a personal note for Robbo, it would be have been good for him to get back riding.
  20. Are you conveniently forgetting the abuse given by a number of your fellow "fans" to Redcar supporters down at Brough Park?Big mouths and threats towards young kids and other easy targets, not so mouthy when one or two stand up to them. Little wonder few Bears fans want to visit nowadays. Point is, there's idiots and cranks at most tracks....the intensity tends to rise when there's history between the parties concerned
