Very good - I like the way you do irony

I'm sure it's on Sunday 1st July

IMO Kus will be back in in our squad for the coming season , regardless of what did /didn't/ may have happened...etc etc (delete as appropriate)
-
That's correct - the same night that our No 1 and 2 reserves managed 11 points between the 3 of them! Branford scored 12 points IIRC
-
To be fair , at that time , 2 fellas carrying Brian Havelock around the track in a rickshaw would have picked up points against us!

Newcastle Doubble Header 22 October

Do you know what? I should have learnt my lesson from conversations I have with Jawdee football supporters......Attendance is king, the size of the crowd determines everything, it must be an obsession !!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

"Don't know who reported that, but I and people around me, thought it was about an average crowd for a Sunday single meeting. Not many Worky fans on sight, but some Redcar fans for a change." So, you are conveniently forgetting how many turned up at the previous league match? Your dislike of the Bears, obvious by your comment "the worry was Redcar would come back to grab the bonus point they needed to jump a place in the final league table. The 5-1 in heat 13 steadied the scoring and a 7 point win was achieved." shouldn't distract from the truth. -
I think what he meant to say was that Redcar fans almost doubled their crowd a few weeks ago

As announced by your very own centre green announcer - King of the one liners - Roy C

I'm assuming you were at the meeting to form that opinion - which i still say is completely wrong. Funnily enough - I had said to my mate that I hadn't seen Ben fall off once this season - at home that is. The only other time he did , apart from when KH took him out, was at the Silver Helmet meeting when he stripped down to his undies and got on his bike only to come off at the 1st/2nd bend! I realise that Ben ain't everybody's cup of tea but I've said this before, he's been a breath of fresh air for Redcar speedway. His enthusiasm. leadership, team work, commitment , not to mention his riding skills and outstanding performances, have won him a hell of a lot of new fans down our place

That'l be the same incident when KH wiped Ben out and was excluded? The same incident when Ben didn't hang around to find out what his injuries were and got straight up and back to the pits to get prepared for the re-run It was only after the meeting had finished that he found out he'd broken his wrist. A couple of days later he cut of the pot himself so he could handle his bike better. But don't let the facts get in the way of your childish, inaccurate and cheap shot at him

Take it you weren't at the meeting or even following the updates very closely otherwise you would have realised that Jason won his 2nd race and crashed out in his 3rd resulting in him being taken to hospitalPretty cheap comments on your part IMO -

None taken whatever Gazc might think!I'll be a the track to hopefully witness a good meeting but my gut instinct is that Glasgow will wipe the floor with us! Enjoy your evening whatever it may bring -

I agree with your speedway commentsHowever you should check your comrade's posts- he referred to Redcar as "your mob" - I've no doubt the Glasgow mob are reasonable! -

Because it wasn't a reasoned response. Unless you consider justice was served and "your mob" as reasonable -

Looks like the Bears will get a tonking tonight I'm afraid. I'll still be there though, clinging on to the faint hope that we get something out of the meeting and pish on the millionaires parade a little -
Redcar V Sheffield Friday
erimus11 replied to RedcarB123's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sheffield were a class above us last night and fully deserved their win but, yet again, I left the meeting thinking more about some strange decisions made by the referee! Graveson smashes into the air fence and carries on for over a lap with a hoarding trailing from his back wheel. The referee allows the race to continue and only put on the red light when the bike shed the hoarding on the track! To make an even bigger mockery of the incident the referee then invites all 4 riders back for the re-run! How the heck wasn't Graveson held responsible for the race being stopped? -

Interesting - Lawson riding as a guest for Sheffield. Given that Glasgow and Sheffield are vying for the title -
So long as he isn't called McGregor !!
-
You're lucky! We have to put up with the Jawdee every week !

"Speak as you find" Since he's been at the Bears I can only say good things about Ben. 100% commitment in every race, first guy out of the pits if there an potentially injured rider out on the track, first guy willing to offer his bike to a rider if the needs arises. He's a character who engages with the crowd, happy to mix with supporters and sponsors alike. I appreciate he's a "Marmite" rider but I think he's been a breath of fresh air for Redcar speedway after a couple of depressing seasons for the team and supporters alike. The promoters, management and sponsorship teams deserve some recognition too.

Does that mean that Wetherspoons are full of Brexiters and bereft of Remoaners?
