Sorry but I don't see what's remotely delightful or funny about having to use the phrase " window lickers" ( wherever they may originate from). Given that the phrase is extremely offensive I would have thought Mr. Dodds would have been castigated rather than lauded

As others have already stated I have only just seen this post today therefore I don't think it's due to a lack of interest that you've not had a response more so because it's a "new post"!

Hopefully out of respect for the club who want to announce the new promoter at their social night this Saturday

Is it worth pencilling in our fixtures on my calendar or should I wait until Poole have decided what suits them best and we kowtow to their demands?

What shot of crick! Just waiting now for the so called speedway "management" to dock Redcar Bears 3 league points because of this fiasco!

Fair point, but some people make it difficult for themselves! Saying that a team has the strongest top 2/3 in the league, but still having them to finish 11th ( even with "apparently" the 2 weakest reserves) means that they are either on a wind up or have a deep seated dislike of The Bears, I suspect it probably both.

I think Stewart and Wright will be back at Redcar for the 2020 season - fingers crossed!

I have an feeling that we may well see Tom Woolley back at Redcar but Nathan Greaves will not return

Memories of Cleveland Park speedway
erimus11 replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'll hopefully be there, just round the corner for me. Should be interesting hearing about Cycle Speedway and also Frank's " confrontations" with Jack Millen -
County Ground , thanks for the info.

Serious question. What's the average size of crowd you get at Somerset?

To say we were getting a touch nervous after heat 12 is an understatement! We were confident that heats 13 and 15 would see us through given, as you mentioned, Charles and Erik, are top drawer riders and rode those heats to almost perfection , Riss hitting the front and Charles team riding behind him, albeit he did it the hard way in heat 13! For me, the biggest plus on the night was Jordan Stewart. To come back to a track were he got a duck egg last time and pick up 9 points was a massive bonus for him and the team.

Edited....I blame the or rather the lack of it!

Thanks Cotton On - memo to ones self " must do my homework more thoroughly"! I hadn't checked other teams posted for a couple of days. Shame really, I would have been happy to have seen him riding for Redcar

I reckon Jake Allen will be a good shout for being in our starting 7 next season. Not only does he ride well round the MPA ( granted, plenty of riders do!), but he performed well when he guested for us recently and seemed to fit in well with the rest of the team in the pits. I think he'd like to be a Redcar Bear next season

If only we were still called Middlesbrough

Do you know something about Redcar that the rest of us don't?
