The way things are going Speedway will be THE only sport running with spectators. Surely it’ll be delayed until Summer...eventually! The best the owners can hope for is an outright ban of mass gatherings by Boris, therefore triggering insurance payouts.

That Bloody stand gave me a headache year in year out and will continue to do so for whoever now deals with the LCC!

To clear things up..... Damien Bates has bought the lease to the stadium from Mr Chapman. He ownes no land but is responsible for the upkeep of the stadium and its contents. He ownes the Speedway business only. Currently all parts of the site are owned by DH DB has access to the Stadium (1/3rd). The piles of rubble that somebody mentioned are there because although the BMX track was started, British Cycling pulled out for whatever reason and left it part built. Currently, the flat (ish) grassed area opposite cannot be turned in to a car park without going through the planning process. That area, the part built BMX Track and the Stadium all come under the Beaumont Sports Complex umbrella. None of which DB has bought.

Steady mate, you'll start caring again if you're not careful! Decent team review though just a shame you'll never see them in action or the new track shape.I'm keen to see Lewis move up a gear (excuse the expression) again and for rider of 2012, Jan to continue his progress. From what I've been told about the track changes by your nemesis there will be plenty of room for Adam in 2013. I think we have a fantastic chance of winning the 4's next season. Teams always perform differently to how they look on paper. I expected Ipswich to do far better last season. It's noticeable that the money is now there to pay the likes of Doolan because he was unaffordable in 2011. Although there is now some sort of pay structure that has been put in place after the AGM in Nov. Leicester are also to trial a track cover next year for the BSPA....Gould knows what that's going to be but has to be something to do with all the rain offs in 2012. -

One for Glyn. Any Idea on what the track cover is that we are to trial in 2013? -

Hi. We went in 09 and stayed in Trieste which is ok for 2 or 3 days but not much longer. We hired a car between the 4 of us for the day of the GP only. Caught bus from airport to Trieste city and hired car in the town. You can park right outside the stadium. you can see the field on google maps. I would recommend taking something windproof. We sat at the top of the open stand just at the start of the back straight and with no protection behind us and a fairly strong cold wind some of where very cold...even in Italy...well it was Sept. Below was taken from http://www.italyheaven.co.uk/friulivenezia...te-airport.html Local buses are run by APT Gorizia: see our links panel for the latest airport timetables in pdf format, which at the time of writing you can download by clicking on "Scarica PDF linee aeroporto". As well as the 51 to Trieste and the urban bus 10 to Monfalcone, they also operate services to Gorizia (bus number 1), Udine (the 51: check you catch the service towards Udine not Trieste) and to seaside resort Grado (bus numbers 1 and 26). Occasional services of the 26 also stop at Aquileia - check timetables for more information. Service bus 51 goes to Udine from right outside airport at the small onsite bus station As for after the meeting...not sure. Best bet is hire car then you can come and go as you please. -

Too right! The entrance for my 15 year old is the same as it is for me.....do these people assume he is now working? £55 inc the £5 programme plus petrol plus food and a beer......er there's a credit crunch on folks. Speedway claims to be a family sport....2 adults and 2 teenage kids...you work it out!! I'll stay at home with the countless others who also can't afford it. Thanks -
I bought 2x 28 euro tickets and they arrived 3 days later with DHL. Best thing about this is that you can track your tickets online and know where they are on their journey to you. I do think the delivery price a a bit much though.

I see the thread has over 70 replies already, so the subjects are still valid. I agree the racing was great and although GB are not at the final I'm really looking forward to it. As the headline suggests, it is just me that has a problem with Charlie -

Where Was Nicholls
Speedwayleics replied to Speedwayleics's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The main point of this years SWC as far as GB is concerned was to blood the kida to help them learn for the future. With Nicholls throwing his toys away instead of helping the kids is shameful of a former Captain of his country. You are right, it is up to him but he does himself no favours. He's not good enough to be a prema donna -

Sorry if my opinion offends but she can't speak a sentence without a mistake. I'm sure you wont change your opinion of this "starlett" nor me mine so we'll have to agree to disagree. But the Ambulance was still behind her when she said that Shields had been rushed to hospital. -

Any knowledge would be a starting point.I can think of 2 presenters worth a watch, Our Sophie being one. Fair enough if SKY want a pretty face for us to look at but P L E A S E make sure they can at least speak? -
So, Mr Nicholls, not picked for the team but decided not to show up to support your country and help out back stage? Even Adam Roynan was there and he has or had a broken neck! I noticed that the SKY "Team" didn't even mention Scotty. Has something happened backstage (apart from the Bomber fallout) or is he just Mr Grumpy?
-
This Sky speedway pits woman is terrible..... can't talk properly, has zero knowledge od Speedway, forgets which track she's at and/or who's racing. She asks THE most stupid, pointless and silly questions, a real joke! An absolute amateur. Anyone have the opposite point of view?

No I don't know. I had originally posted this in General Speedway but it has been moved in to the middle of this string. It's still my forum title but for some reason I'm not at the top? Still don't know if the GP result has be declared official -

I have had a look around but cannot find any details of the FIM jury's decision regarding Scott and Emil. Has anyone heard about the punishments handed out (if any) I noticed on the SGP website that until the FIM jury decide on the fate of the 2 riders, the Cardiff SGP result is not official. I would imagine that to mean that Scott and Emil may lose points. I'm trying to run a Fantasy Speedway Comp but need the British GP results to be confirmed! Just on another quick point, do you think it hurts the head of the guy being punched on the crash helmet or the guy's fist throwing the punch? mmmm I heard Emil's team manager say on TV that he had gone to see the Doc to get his head checked out.......physically not mentally!!
