Well Matej won't be there so we need to get someone else. We either try and get Lindback or someone like that or go with Cook Nicholls Fricke Grazonek Worral X 2 and maybe Schlein or Bjerre??

Looks like there will be a few potential number 1 riders avoiding EL next year, time for the next generation to step up.... Craig Cook can be 8.5 rider next season definitely

Cookie could, in theory, do Sweden on Tuesday's

Polish teams are limited to 3 foreign riders I think this year. Cookie needs a strong EL season to get foreign teams interested.

Elite Riders Wishing To Go Premier
jimmy jimmy replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How many full time EL Brits are there's? Harris, Nicholls and that's about it?? I would open it up and allow PL teams to strengthen if they want rather than close it off to riders. Let the likes of Watt etc race PL too if they want -
I think next years team will have the same top 3 of Zagar Nicholls and Cook

Who's that?

Have Wolverhampton changed their name to the Aces?

Belle Vue National Stadium
jimmy jimmy replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
People stop going to watch a particular sport for a variety of reasons, promoters can't please everyone. However, crap facilities was a recurring theme, so hopefully a new stadium will cause a surge of interest to increase the crowd levels at BV significantly. Then it is up to the riders and the presentation to keep them coming back. -
Poole Speedway 2014 Elite League Champions !
jimmy jimmy replied to markyb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't criticise Poole usually, but the handling of this semi final has been amateurish in the extreme, there should be a lot more urgency in getting the meeting on. -

Bank holiday racing is when you would get the biggest crowds, so every team should target those dates -
2015 El Single Race Night Wednesday
jimmy jimmy replied to Falcon Hammer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why does it need to be a set race night for the whole league? Just race once per week, if its Friday at home one week and Wednesday away next week, does it matter? -

Belle Vue National Stadium
jimmy jimmy replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well it's started!! Still a huge amount of work to be done, but this is a big step forward. Leaving Kirky Lane is a big boost to the speedway here. Really think the Cradley promotion should get their councillors up to see what is happening. This is still a small stadium in Manchester but something similar would be a big stadium in Dudley. -
Belle Vue National Stadium
jimmy jimmy replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well one of the main gripes on this forum are crap old stadia and poor presentation. As soon as one track actually does something about it, the doom merchants on here switch tack to another form if attack. Thankfully there are 2 million people in Greater Manchester who don't read the whinging crap of about 10 posters on this forum, and a proportion of whom might actually go and watch. Lets hope the promotion get the presentation right and give it some drama ( and 15 heats in 90 minutes or so) -

The Decline Of British Speedway

I have to say I still see speedway as a spectacle now, I thought this years British GP was as good a sporting event as you will see anywhere -
Eastbourne To Close Down
jimmy jimmy replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I picked Ipswich because there would be local derbies against KL and Lakeside, Cradley would be against Leicester, Coventry and especially Wolverhampton. Throw in Poole, Belle Vue in a new stadium and Swindon, wouldn't that be a vibrant league?? -
