I've heard from a good source that the Andersons are in the Redcar team but who knows, all cloak and dagger at the moment. I remember Ben Barker putting on Facebook last year that he didn't have a team and would be sitting out the start of the season but that wasn't true!

Don't forget that after Redcar finished bottom for the 2nd season running Brian H was quoted in the Speedway Star saying the club had made a profit! Even with the lower attendances.

Barker is a no brainer for Redcar need to get him signed up ASAP. Garrity and Ayres wouldn't be missed although did well in spells. Missed too many meetings for various reasons. JBA has stagnated. Could maybe benefit from a lone spell somewhere. Busch looks far better than his average, at least at home. Perks is a dilemma. Rapid improvement or an average he can't really improve on much. Not sure. Wright is worth another shot but was more consistent for Somerset. Three potential target for Redcar should be Proctor, Lunna and Pickering. Picko didn't score too many points at Redcar but was consistently on the back wheel of the Redcar heat leaders. Much more to come from him.

Most 2nd division riders years ago had jobs or business interests outside of speedway. Nowadays an NL wobbler wants to be a pro and make a living out of the sport and that is part of the problem. For the top riders, fair enough it should be a full time profession.

Smolinski and Manzeres also looking for a UK return and Nicol and Becker looking to get over from the USA. Loads of riders out there if Promoters looked for them and stopped taking the lazy option of a double up.

Kus as well and of course Garcia, Holder and Batchelor not being sble to sign for other teams due to the transfer window. Sunstrom fancies another go as well.

Historic as the sign says, not current. Some people close to the border or in the former part of North Yorkshire wish they were still part of it! Just like those good folk of Yearby who actually live in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland but form part of the 'ceremonial county' of North Yorkshire! Not actually official or meaning of anything.
