Redcar v Scunthorpe, 3/5/2024; Cab Direct Championship
Bellers101 replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
First time I've been to Redcar this season. What has happened? No atmosphere and riders not doing celebration laps after most races. Riss was superb and back to his best. Wright did his job and Trigger was in the mix. The rest might as well have stayed at home. Massive difference the track from last season as well with the new track man. Little grip around the outside taking away Wrights signature move on turn 2. Won't be rushing back. -
Riss in for King in Redcar's next two meetings.

Speedway is struggling for clubs unfortunately. If there were more teams in the top two divisions Plymouth would be banished back to the NDL where they belong. -
Grip, something Poole has sadly been missing for a long time.

Said last season BSN should give the place a wide berth considering the number of calls offs they have. -

Add in the Kennett farce, no or minimal track drainage, meetings being called off due to bad track prep. Farcical. NDL operation at best. -

Wrong decision. Plymouth once again making a mockery of the sport. Worst run club in the Championship! -
Heard he was going to Plymouth.
-
Getting unmasked Kendo Nagasaki style apparently.

Will Garrity be 'available' anytime soon? -
Club legend BWD.
-
Getting some practice in on what is a new track for some ready for the KOC tie.
-
Is Gino Manzares riding in Sweden again this year? Wasn't he wanting a GB spot last season? Could be a possible signing.
-
Yes hence why Kennett R/R made it to the first bend!
-
Not sign a badly injured rider perhaps?
-
What a farce! Two seasons in a row this has happened now.
-
Risky signing. Shown a poor attitude the past couple of seasons. Big question marks over which Cook and Batch turn up this season.
-
Workington need some riders with established GB league pedigree to finish the team off now. Interesting team building so far but 3 newcomers to GB and the enigma that Cook now is could cause them a few problems. Good to see Worky back in the championship though.
-
Who?
-
All depends on which Craig Cook turns up or doesn't as the case may be.

Wooden spoon material unless the last rider is out of the top drawer! -
No idea and not bothered as I'm not a Scunny fan. Upon reflection that team might finish 2nd bottom if Plymouth don't pull a few surprise signings out of the hat.
