While your assumption about Magnus may be correct ,there have been plenty OTHERS like him over the last few years.he has done the rounds and QUALIFIED on merit .Plenty have failed. Harris Lingdren&Bjerre are all GP riders where were they tonight dont say they were not trying.

All great riders ,saw them all, what about Guy Allott(sheffield) Eric Boothroyd (middlesborough) Jack Scott (plymouth) all big stars in the old PL. Sverre Harrfeldt was something special IMO

Check the date on the newspaper you were reading . Not the case Im afraid

Has Sky Had Enough Of The Gp
Fromafar replied to nibs's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Cannot blame them not bothering where they show it . Total Dross this season. Do not even set the video now ,just go and watch Clewsy at Berwick he pass more riders in 4 Heats than happens in a whole GP -
Slovenian Gp, Krsko 12.9.
Fromafar replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The riders should do something about it ,they are all complaining under there breath but really they are thinking if I gate I will win without to much hassle. Poor quality all season. Embarrasing for SKY IMO. -
Has been done on forum, My choice would also be Ryan Fisher

Agree100%

Your not going to make a GP rider I'm afraid Speedway is dangerous. Tiddleywinks for you
-
You must have a different video to me then. Some of the other manouvers must have had you hiding under the table

Emil has a lot to learn about GP Speedway if he though Scott was hard on him. Ashley Holloway showed himself to be a complete muppet in front of the cameras. He should be banned from pit area ,what happened was between the riders and he had no right giving Nichols the nudge on the way past.Better keep his glasses on next time he sees Nichols

Another Ridiculous Exclusion
Fromafar replied to Brummie Boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
For what its worth my opinion is Nikki could have turned earlier but was trying to make sure Emil did not just ride round as he would have probably done. Can see both side of the arguments though.Iwould have excluded Nikki though. -
Have to agree with you on that

From a neutral point of view i think Nichols is a better rider than Harris . Chris is lucky to get another chance ( if you can being in the GP lucky) But the GP is still about 1/2dozen same contenders per meeting (if that) the rest are there just to make up the numbers and create a little bit of excitment same as Harris and Nichols. IMO Nicky will be champ again (injuries permitting). How many changes in the last couple of seasons for the top 8 spots not many(must check that one out). Its just a touring circus now and an OLE OLSEN closed shop.

Can Nicki Get 6?
Fromafar replied to home straight's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Crump is still good enough to win again but he needs a decent back up team or faster bikes or better set up .He looked pedestrian most of the season should not be getting past every GP.Bikes look dodgy IMO. -
Chris Harris And Scott Nicholls
Fromafar replied to paul84's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
All this debate, and really you are talking about them just getting a top 8 spot for next year. How can you critisise Walasek and Umanik places they are not any worse than the Brits. Cannot see Nichols or Harris ever finishing in the top 3 at the end of a GP series. What i will say is at least they are not gating tarts and do put 100% into their racing unlike a few others. -

Can you explain the lack of ENGLISH riders coming through then. To be fair the scotland have had a few in recent years without training facilities Grieves, lLamb ,Tully ,Stoddart,Lawson spring to mind. It is not for the want of trying that training facilities are not in place.Local councils public objections are a problem though. -
Lynch? Tuners? Bottle?
Fromafar replied to spook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
After Cardiff i am sure if we had a world junior drinking competition, i am positive ayoung BRIT would win thats how dedicated they are to speedway -
Lynch? Tuners? Bottle?
Fromafar replied to spook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What i am saying is they are not out of their depth. After all they are not even in the bottom 2 in the points total. Therefore i dispute your point. 8th and 9th last your suggests to me they are GP level . Whether they remain there is another story IMO. Neither will ever be World Champ IMO but there again there are few others in the same boat. At this moment they are the top Brits. -
When you say no passing you mean the brits did not pass anybody .The meeting i watched had a fair bit of passing .

Lynch? Tuners? Bottle?
Fromafar replied to spook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In Scott Nichols and Chris Harris Britain have 2 riders that are at GP level . IMO we have nobody else even close at this moment.Apart from Tai Woffinden i personaly cannot see where the next GP rider is coming from. If we believe the hype Britain have the riders but cant set up their bikes to suit the track conditions WHAT A LOAD OF SH*T. Dont know the answer either! -
The Cardiff Grand Prix Discussion Thread
Fromafar replied to PhilK's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Unfortunately when the Grand Prix are held on a proper track Ole and his "team "even make a mess of that by making them slick. Proper track a nice bit of dirt and these men will show you what SPEEDWAY really is . Whilst i really admire the superb skills of the top men these are the same people who would walk out of a league match pack up and go home if faced with the conditions they have had tonight. It is happening to often now , if man - made tracks cannot be perfected by now they never will be IMO. -
Think Kelvin must have stuck a foot in Pearsons mouth last night, he suddenly stopped prattling on about the meeting winner when he realised he had confused HIMSELF. What was all that about!!!!!!!!!!!!
