Glasgow Vs Scunthorpe - 1/6/2014 (pl - 3pm)
Fromafar replied to lucifer sam's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Would it really mater nowadays judging by the Swindon match on TV last weeks even if the track had been ok they would complain about visibility and called a halt to racing.Promotions can't win these days, damned if they do damned if they don't. -
when I look at the 1st post in this thread I do wonder about you.You clearly making up some stories.Read the Berwick E letter again.

Is the cut- off date not in middle of the month then used from the 1st of the next month.then Jensen would still be at reserve. -

I would agree Steen at reserve is a better option but this was always going happen if Steen live up to his billing(which has and more)but it is Team effort and the formula is working,Kevin has picked from his slow start which is offsetting Kus a little .things are going well so really no complaints.I think Liam has improved in a tough situation and a big learning curve. To be honest apart from Claus (who has been brilliant)you have no Idea who the match winning score may come from . -
Correct

while I agree with Cook regarding scrapping the tactical rule but I think his comment that it is"last great wrong"in the Elite League is a bit wide of the mark. -
Computer number crunching again and you are bored.

Charlie Gjedde Comeback ?
Fromafar replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Given his age and the serious injuries he has picked in his career I think a comeback is the wrong option. -
I don't see any names mentioned.

Irrespective of his talent, Cook has always a bad loser and shows his mentality with his actions. -
Redcar V Berwick 29 May - Off
Fromafar replied to Catch Me If You Can's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
usual reason ,self interest , you would think a club with its own stadium could sort out a track for tonight . IF the forecast is favourable, plus it is a local derby so could have later call off if required.the promotions will soon be wondering when fans don't Turn up in late Sept for meaningless meetings. These days it needs a WEEK of dry weather or the fixtures are in doubt, sad days for the sport. -
not in the raceI was watching

It took Wells 31/2 laps to pass Carr ,what does that tell you regarding the EL rider.

They invent rules from day to day, refs seem not to know correct rule when these circumstances arise, the Procter shambles being an example. -
Workington V Berwick (pl) 23/05/14 19:30 Hrs
Fromafar replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Have to agree Berwick riders were up for it and done most of the passing when they missed the gate.Thought it was a decent meeting but with Berwick winning that was always going to be how it looked for me.I really enjoy the racing at Derwent Park plenty of lines if the riders are up for it. -

If I remember same thing happened to Somerset at Redcar with Nick Morris But Havelock objected to declared Team and the guest had to ride(can't remember his name but he only scored about 4)so I assume Worky would have To go with declared Team. Its on of these stupid rules again where your own rider cant ride for his own Team.
