Exactly lets see some of the figures that riders call an insult and not worth riding for ,it might surprise a few.The way Wells is acting he will be totally skint next year without his PL earnings.

Lay -Down engines that led to banked and slick tracks .Take banking off tracks and that will slow the racing down and we may see some overtaking.

You need to get in the real world regarding NL speedway and making money.

With the Promotion that run Mildenhall surely there is plenty of advice on hand .

Nothing personal but is signing a 38 year old what the NL is all about ,I don't think so.

I find it hard to believe that Wells lost money riding for Sheffield he probabably meant he spent most of it subsidising his equipment to ride in Elite League which would be a different issue IMO.

Promoters and riders wont discuss figures.Riders being Self Employed just need a good accountant if they cannot make money,that will solve a lot of their problems.

Why would Ricky Wells ride speedway in Britain so as he could get into debt ! If you have been riding in Speedway for 4/5 years and not making money it is time to find another job . Points money and riding costs are a Taboo subject WHY . Fair enough if Ricky can't make PL pay but he won't get my symphathy.i'm afraid.

Is it just me or what kind of DEAL do these guys like North, Poole,Wells and, as he is Quoted in this weeks Speedway Star Justin Sedgeman want ,they are just average speedway riders and until they prove themselves do not deserve anything out of the "norm" Let them earn there living "working in AUS " instead of bankrupting British speedway. Promoters have to stop trying to put one over each other regarding riders demands and stick together for the future of the sport.

If the rider is good enough he will make enough money from the sport . IF rumours are true some of the points money being paid to mediocre riders is far too much,the sport is dying on its feet .The bottom line is that if expenditure exceeds income closure of tracks will happen Promotions will just fold.The Annual Conference did not come up with any solution to solve the financial trouble the sport is in IMO(or they didn't tell us much if they have)

Agree,if riders are losing money every season perhaps they should get themselves a proper job instead of moaning about it. They are not forced to ride speedway.

The lad is 15 he will live up to the hype IMO very impressive round Berwick and Armadale last year. Take a look at his Aussie results this winter giving Parker, Woodward and Procter a run for their money.

Harkness will probably produce a piece of paper that says Fricke's Great Granny was born in Aberdeen.That should solve the problem.

The article alludes to Len living in the past by thinking and everything in Speedway is Hunky -Dory .Personaly I think Len has lost the plot but he has been in the game along time and survived on his principles,Good Luck to him he will need it IMO.

Seen Fricke a couple of times last season and IMO if there was one untried Aussie to take agamble with it would be him.Somehow think he might have better offers from down south when he does come over.Might be wrong though.Schramm is used to long distance commuting given his earlier days with Berwick and Worky and would be a good signing on his average

Enigma would be my description of James Wright,I keep waiting for him to fulfill his potential but up to now it has just not happened .Decent signing IMO. Has talent .

That Sheffield Team looks very weak IMO

He's had a lot of bad luck with injury in recent seasons ,but he was very poor for most of last season not convinced he would be a good signing.

IMO I dont think that will happen, but like you say win/win situation if it does.

Well done to Keith Denham I have never been his biggest fan but fair play to him he could have just bailed out.

There are not many Promotions willing to drop the prices this season,there seems to be no unity in what really needs done to revive the sport IMO.
