  1. There is no easy answers ,thats for sure. Us keyboard commando's should be in for a busy closed season. . I really think Promoters have to back to the drawing board regarding riders Pay demands and stick together if the product has to be diluted us as fans have to accept the fact that the money is just not in the sport at the present time'and hope the standard of racing and entertainment is not effected too much I certainly dont have the answers regarding attract NEW fans and keeping them. The Rules have to be simplified regarding Averages and Point Scoring IMO.
  2. Have to agree ,Health and Safety and bike technology and speed have made the sport a DRY summertime sport. No more boiler suited riders show their throttle control on a wet track.A wet track or any sign of rain usually means 3/4 of the riders don't want to know therefore fans have negitive outlook about the meeting being on and give it a miss.IMO
  3. Dont think anything Glasgow do really affects Monarchs,I normally try take in 3-4 meetings a season at Armadale and have commented on how small the crowds have got in the last few seasons its the same story at most track IMO .Monarchs are a well run club but like many others there is only so much money you can throw at it .Unless the Directors have something up their sleeve I can't see much hope of Speedway returning to Edinburgh(city) before the start of next season though.Hope they find a way to survive.
  4. Does that not depend on how many Teams ,How many competions and how much they reconsruct some of the competitons. The rain -off sitution could still arise no matter what you do but there is a chance if you used the clubs alternative race day alittle more it would help although it woulld maybe effect attendancies
  5. At the end of the season you will have completed your fixtures.League reconstruction ect, might be needed but who knows what next season fixture list will be.Like Isaid only a suggestion Atleast you would have an opportunity to use the off night or free date if it arose ,as it is at present everything gets shuffled to the end of season.Like you say we are at the mercy of the weather.
  6. They wont be losing money on meaningless fixtures at the end of season though which seemto be the case at some clubs. Maybe!
  7. Just a suggestion ,would it be viable for club to have 3home fixtures /month leaving 1 race night reserved or alternate race night reserved for any cancelled fixtures that month so the fixture can be re-arranged at short notice( and has to be run or awarded against club that cannot fullfill the fixture) so the backlog does not build up so much. Some thing like that anyway,no doubt has pitfalls but!!!! At least clubs will know where they stand.
  8. I think Redcar might just be favourites for the Final in December
  9. How many points do Tigers need to Qualify for the Final, good effort being made to get them ,have the outgoing Promotion found some cash in the attic.
  10. It can only happen a speedway 3 guests +R/r . Hope there is not a delay while the guests sort out what race jackets they should be wearing. Ithink even some fair-minded Glasgow fans must question why Campton went home early, did someone at the start of the season tip him off the they wouldn't win anything so he could book an early flight.
  11. Shame as Tigers took a gamble on him (which payed off) .
  12. Coming into Aussie summertime fares are on the increase from November. Do you think Campton will be back at Glasgow ?
  13. Dont think a lot of posters are Anti -Tai as a rider, just the must -have- a -Brit is not justified if the rider is not there on merit.Which in Tia's case they have a point.
  14. Wonder what anthem he will request should he win a GP.
  15. If that is the case he should recieve a ban at the start of next season unless he produces a doctor's certificate.
  16. You can contact him if youwish,he states that in the programme.
  17. With "speedflash" back at Liecester that is not really a big surprise IMO.Good to see him fixed up though he is good entertainment value wherever he rides
  18. You are right it his views and opinions, in this instance I too have missed the point in this article, I will ask him at the next meeting when I see him.
  19. Are you not at Edinburgh this week though, an announcment in 2weeks time ?
  20. Dick has his own Forum in the Berwick Programme no need to come on here
