  1. He was a class act another rider who seemed to get held back by his Polish Club.Still gets the odd decent score.
  2. Surely Middlo could have manipulated the scoring with barker and Bridger later in the meeting to bring in Tai,without dropping Harris. Not that it would have made much difference but at least try and use the rules to your best advantage.Hancock is hardly a pushover to use a tactical against.
  3. I am not belittling Cook who has done well to get to the standard he is at the present, and I certainly not bitter regarding him,I am making the point that he is no better than the others barring Tai,and if he performs poorly which in my opinion he did at Kings Lynn his position will always be vulnerable .It is Professional Sport you have to perform, like he states it will help him in the future. He can make excuses for Monday but in my book that's all it is.Every rider comes on tell and gives the same story line.I claim he won't be future GP rider but that is just my opinion and does not belittle his achievements up to now.Hope that is clearer.
  4. Its not a forward step in their career for Foriegn riders to ride in UK these days ,but it would be for Brit to ride abroad. The off -track antics of of the Young Brits in recent years MIGHT tell us something though.
  5. Just an opinion, any rider apart from Tai has a chance of being replaced if they have a poor meeting as they are all the same standard.the poster said Cook beat Holder as an example ,I say Barker beat Cook at Armadale a couple of weeks ago so what does that prove.
  6. I am aware of how sh#te the standard of the Elite League is .Holder must have had his set-up wrong!!!! I do have sympathy for Cook and some of the young riders but in World terms they are nowhere good enough and I Personaly don't see any of them that are around the now making it. Excluding Ellis and Lambert who are still really young.
  7. Must have got his set-up sorted out.Wait a minute this is Premier League. What will he tell Kinvig tomorrow.
  8. BUT who will be fresher for the night out in Prague, my money is on Barker and Bridger.
  9. you have single handed just converted 99 % of this forum into GB fans.
  10. Aussies are saying there's Tai and to a lesser extent Harris but there's points to be gained from Barker and Bridger .Hope the Latvians shock both of them which they may be capable.certaianly spoilers big time.
  11. Thats the way it goes if you have had a poor season. He is quite right regarding challenges why should he lose money paying riders who have not produce the goods during the season.
  12. Trouble is everybody has "fast" bikes, its the rider on board that really matters.Lets face it Middlo Team management leaves a lot to be desired but the end result will be the same .Injuries and politics have ruined other Teams chances but GB does not have the riders to be genuine contenders .
  13. Unfortunately due to the the duration of the races there is not enough time for him to generate that speed you talk about.
  14. Thats the reason he will struggle to get to the Top.Good riders are very consistent at starting and there is nothing in front slowing them down.
  15. We have a 7 man Team unfortunately not 1 of them is doing anything special. Inconsistent is the word but at the end of the day were just not good enough , no excuses really.Redcar are a decent team even when they have couple of riders having a poor night they still manage to pull of a win.Armadale was also a fine example.
  16. Surely GB would have a good chance on Thursday ,Aussies are not that strong.Cook is nowhere near Good enough, blaming track and wrong set-up for being poor the whole meeting is a poor excuse.GB is not going to improve in a year with the riders in the system at the moment.where is the YOUNG talent.look at the Poles and Danes they have an abundant of young riders. British Speedway is a shambles and has been for a while. Auty,Cook,Barker,Bridger have been around for a while now irrespective of how old or young they are I cannot see any of them being aGP rider in the future.Ellis and Lambert are the best bet given the right support IMO.
  17. Top of the Premier League is not the TOP in Speedway, someone should remind him.Still lets see how far he goes in the sport with that attitude. He wasn't an automatic choice IMO .Best of a mediocre bunch was nearer the mark.Cook,Barker and Bridger the best you could expect was a good night out on the P#ss. After all its only a National newspaper !!!!!!
  18. One addition should be get Sophie back on board it's cringing stuff watching Charlie trying to interview the riders.Sophie was excellent as usual last night on the 'other" channel.
  19. How about some scores from the the Danes at Poole, then of you go and do your paper round.
