I seriously doubt if any Pl club did not suffer a loss this season.A lot will depend on sponsership to keep most clubs afloat IMO.

OK, I take you are referring to Barnfield regarding the decent talent.Replacing him with another decent talent was the problem.Bellego would have had to be in the top 5 for May anyway if it was between Him, Edberg and Barnfield from what I saw on track.

Bellego 1match at Scunny in March was the problem. It left us with less than 5pts to find a replacement for the German or was that not the case.? Barnfield was worth a punt but what I saw of him he would have been hard pushed to finish with a 5pt average.But thats history.Herrtrich was on a 5 if I remember right.

Wish people would stop including Smith and Barnfield as excuses .Clearly the replacements were no worse.we got conned by the German and that started the troubled season regarding team strength. Season is over now lets move on.Ricky was Bandit of the year IMO and he was Kozza's replacement !!!

You are correct Cook pulling out after 2 rides puts this tie on a Knifedge ,other wise it would have been a no contest tomorrow IMO

Good to here it was a decent meeting.I fail to grasp why people knock meetings by saying there is nothing at stake.Rider want to earn money and most of them enjoy riding their bike thats why they ride speedway.Entertaining the fans is what it is all about.

I think a Free Admission Meeting for the 1st meeting of the season is an Idea .The riders can provide their services free of charge and put something back into the sport as their livelihood depends on it to an extent.I also agree with Oldace the the reasons the fans are deserting the sport have to been addressed to make sure that newcomers are entertained and want to come back.Most things have been covered regarding this matter but unfortunately without coming up with any real solutions.The promoters and the BSPA are the ones who have to make the right moves to get the sport back on track IMO. The majority of the fans dont have much Idea the effort and expense it takes to run a Club (myself included) but on the other hand talking to other fans there is general opinion on what is lacking in the sport which has been discussed and debated (and argued about) on this forum. I would stress that not everyone is a "forum fanny " which is always touted when a touchy subject is mentioned.

A good performance from Cook and Ithink we will have a good lead to take to Rye.

Agree with Paulco it very much gate and go apart from some tight 1st bends. If plans to alter the track succeed I think the racing will improve greatly.

I agree regarding non avialability of riders its killing British speedway,and when you see the number of 2nd rate foriegners it doesnt help

Saw them all.I think his no-nonsense style of riding put the fear of death into most of the opposition.Great rider and entertainer.

You seem to know the Financial Affairs of Berwick ,can you quote actual figures regarding covering these losses on Sat or are you just waffling on on usual.
