  1. Have to agree its ludicrous to seed the Czechs, the event is 3 team tournament now.A decent Team is now sitting watching the Final.
  2. it's a bit sad that in a NL challenge the they have resort to R/R,surely a young junior would benefit from an outing, after all that not the point of staging this fixture.
  3. Great meeting had everything.I must admit I thought Cookie got way with a few rollers, good luck if you can get away with it.I can see stu Robson writing his complaints to the BSPA about victimisation.
  4. Vissing is a bit of a weak link at the moment was expecting him to be scoring more .If he hits form the Monarchs will take some stopping. Fricke is a star of the future without doubt has class and intelligent with riding ,everything in control.
  5. In your opinion. You seem to be well informed regarding what has been quoted"behind the scenes" the point I am making is that in the circumstances and importance of the matter regarding air fences the arrangements should be dealt with on a more professional level from the people that run the sport.Jayne is the Promoter at Buxton and she echoes your comments regarding only being informed in the last few weeks which IMO is shoddy.I do not have a"head in the sand "attitude to Air Fences that's just your opinion.Maybe on of your friends could give you an estimate on the attendance.Hope you are feeling better.
  6. Come on your trying to tell me that telling promotions they have 3-4 years before something might happen is the way to run Speedway .Surely at least 1full seasons notice should have been given when something has been confirmed.we all know Berwick are the way forward but this issue should have been dealt with better IMO.This has serious financial issues for some Clubs to raise the funding in such a short timescale.I believe some clubs will close unless there are some very good sponsors out there.Clubs certainly rely on sponsors more and more these days with attendances falling at most Clubs.Ps What was the attendance at Berwick at the Week-end.?
  7. Is there an official statement regarding this matter and from whom.you can't say to a club in the next 3-4 years without giving a statement surely.Where is the statement regarding next season? Have just read that Jayne who is the Buxton Promoter found out last week,no wonder Speedway is going down the tubes,!!
  8. I think by not giving notice the this new rule will be in force in 2014 (if in fact this is the case) they have not been very fair on the clubs in this situation. A seasons notice would be minimum IMO .
  9. In your case fair enough, but Mr Blobby was complaining on Sat about the track being slick and dusty,I was responding more to these comments although it was a different thread.I agree Doc always produces the best track in the cicumstances that dictate.
  10. Having attended last Fri there did not seem much dust flying about unless it was blowing into the Pits end and the track was lightly watered 3 -4 times which IMO is how every track should be. maintained during a meeting .have to agree should be a good match on Fri . With Theo back should be a Monarchs win though.
  11. Lingren is the same most seasons when the foreign commitments kick in he doesn't seem to be able to cope with the work load IMO. Not the only one I fear.
  12. No , the sun shining and Scotland winning at football were the main cause of the defeat
  13. Where was all the dust, track was the same for both Teams they watered it regular as the meeting progressed it certainly wasn't dusty.
  14. It was noticable that Cook was having trouble with his left arm after each race.He has said lately that it was a reaccurance of the problem he had at the end of last season, lets hope he is ok tomorrow guesting for Bandits as it caused him to withdraw after 2races when he guested last year, It certainly did not effect his on track performance tonight he was flying.
  15. When you come up against a good Team your riders can always look slow ,fact is Newcastle are a very strong Team and will make a lot of sides look ordinary the form they are in.
  16. Inconsistancy from race to race for the majority of the Team seems to the problem this season.IMO
  17. Looking at Edward!s score last night don't thing he has done much wrong.Maybe not the invincible Superstar that some people were billing him though.Pl is a tough league to dominate. For any rider and IMO Cook is the only stand out rider this season.
  18. With Tully back and abit of luck Newcastle will be hard to stop.Somerset are their main rivals IMO.
  19. Barkers PL form seems to have slumped this season compared to previous ones.Think he has found his level IMO
  20. I have to agree,Berwick are under performing excuses will be made but at the end of the day results are important to a lot of fans. Hard to see a top 6 finish but would be happy to be proved wrong.
  21. Difficult to see where an away will come from if that was our best chance!!
  22. My confidence took a knock when we failed to win at Glasgow earlier in the season.Edward will have get his finger out if the Team are to get results on the road, which he should be able to do.
  23. I don't see anything wrong with starting with a points limit at the start of the season(say45as an example). If teams find that that team improves and is over the limit what is wrong with being able to keep it the next season. If a rider wishes to leave and has improved his average he can only be replace within his original average.that way teams might be able to build better teams and retain riders that the fans have an association with.IMO it would lead to stronger League set-up over the years .If some Teams become very strong and the Promotion can afford them good luck to them-they will be attract visitors to rival tracks.I 1965 when the leagues mergedCoventry WestHam Wimbledon came to Edinburgh and gave us a hammering it did not affect the crowd they looked forward to these challenges. That is only my opinion ,and am now away to look out my bullet proof vest.
  24. While I am hoping for something out of the meeting ,I disagree about your thought regarding our chance ,Sheffield is a difficult track for away Teams .Sheffield do look weak though.Joe Haines is the key man IMO if he has a good meeting it might swing it.
