Edinburgh V Somerset Plpo Final 1st Leg 25/10/13 7.30
Fromafar replied to ekimba's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Watching the Morris incident from 3rd looking straight down the back straight it was obvious that Morris was going to attempt and outside pass as he had attempted on the previous lap and misjudged it when Joe entered the bend on the inside and hit his back wheel causing the crash IMO it was a racing incident.Wish Joe a speedy recovery. Dave Kinvig reporting of the incident is a disgrace IMO telling readers that Nick seen red mist when Joe passed him on the second bend .Claus and Joe had been leading the race from the off.Totally biased reporting.Probably wasn't even there!!! -

from where I was standing he was attempting to go round Joe and misjudged it and was rightly excluded don't think it was a deliberate attempted to knockHim off took a hard fall himself.Love the Chatzone report for Ht 14 all moved out and Carr fell and was ex this time ,forgot to mention that Carr was on the inside of the other 3 riders and lost control all by Himself and fell. -
could you explain the what you mean by other "less prudent promotions " in this case.

Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed?

Not sure about natural ability but Cook uses what talent he has very well unlike Barker and Bridger who are wastingwhat talent they have by off track antics -

Dyer 8pt average and not making money out of Speedway like you say speedway myths are very common, tracks losing 30,-40 grand a year and still running .Accountants and engine tuners seem be the only ones not complaining.!! -
Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed?
Fromafar replied to iand's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I know that .he should just stay at home and work. Its a sport if he is losing money he doesn't have to do it.These Aussies and Foreigners get a lot of help from people like yourself and fans when riding in Britian and still moan about being unable to make it pay.Im afraid my answer will always be GIVE UP THEN nobody owes them a living .Harsh but true IMO -
Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed?
Fromafar replied to iand's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
while speedway is aProfessional sport it does not owe anybody a living .He will just have together himself areal job and work 40 hours a week like everybody else. -
Iagree,Redcar should have been asked to compete such a vital fixture on their alternate race day the same week ,but then again we probably would have problems regarding rider availability .

Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed?
Fromafar replied to iand's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
IMO ,the only doubling up should be NLto PL with Pl clubs getting priority with fixture clashes, the NL teams will be able to use young talent in these situations.Cook, Barker ect should only be allowed to ride in one League.(their choice which one ) -
totally agree with your Post fans just want to see their seven riders riding for their team.cancelling and riding fixtures with guests while your rider is riding for a different Team you couldn't make it up.!!

Bears Vs Rebels 03/09/13 7:30pm
Fromafar replied to Willowman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You couldn't make it up just a shambles at this time of the year the clubs can't even get good publicity of the final due too the short notice regarding other fixtures. -
Just Toss a coin to decide the winners ,it will save a bit of time.Play off this late in the season make the usual mockery of the sport ,what's the chances of 2 decent nights weather and tracks that have not been affected by the weather at this time of year.Just look at Birmingham the other night. To have the highlight of the Season for the Teams involved so late in the season is farcical.A radical rethink is needed but I won't hold my breath.

Add that in then.Thats Speedway these days it's only 4 guys doing 4 laps seems too be the general feeling with the die hards

Birmingham V Poole Grand Final 2nd Leg
Fromafar replied to pirateandi's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They are hardly in a privilege position, they are just a successful club .What stop other clubs being run the same way.? Ps I am not a Poole fan -
Well done to Poole , they didn't sit back and ask for sympathy when their main men got injured ,they got off their a*se and did something about it.While the Belle Vue debacle did not help the sport ,they just took advantage of the situation.

2013/2014 could mean next year too IMO.I was pointing out that it was still a going concern.

Leicester 2014 . Elite

I would not criticise DH going EL but if he needs a few more bums on seats he is taking a big gamble given the nature of the product on offer these days.Does he thinks riding in local Derby's against the same 3 or 4 Teams is the way forward. -
Covers are a waste of time as the riders probably won't ride anyway if the track is not perfect these days,If it has stopped raining before a meeting is due to start what is wrong with giving each rider afew laps on his own to turn over the dirt and then see if a track grading would make the meeting go ahead.Years ago at Glasgow Jimmy Beaton prepared the the same every week whether rain or shine his philosophy was if its rained off at start so be it.which IMO Is the right way.Health and Safety aspect is what it is all about these days
