Well done to the Monarchs, both Teams gave their best shot.Personally think Nick Morris needs to think about riding with his brain engage and think about what is going on round about him ,heat 13 being the perfect example there was no way Cook was going to let him ride round him (twice) yet in the last Heat decider he tried the same move after making a decent gate and Cook took him wide again to let Master cut back on the inside.Cook didn't do anything any other rider would do riding a hard first corner but Morris just couldn't see it.Aspregren deserves a fine for laying it down and then staying on the track.Ref done the right thing to award the race.

You are correct the EL will never return to the standard of the teams thank once graced the Showground, like you say any of the fans are probably lost to the sport like other tracks are finding, but Pl racing is a good standard if the BSPA can stop messing about with the rules and this doubling-up nonsense which is one effecting the integrity of the sport. As a speedway supporter for many years I find it sad that fans can give up the sport at one of the finest tracks in the country.Wont hold my breath though.

these fans are not speedway supporters IMO .the Elite League is anything but Elite.Watching Benji Compton in full flight must be exciting prospect.(sorry Benji it's not your fault).

Letter In This Weeks Speedway Star

Don't think the stadiums are a big factor in bike sport if you look at other forms such as BSB,Mx the spectators stand in a field to watch the racing,it's the value for money and the daft rules that need to looked at.the sport cannot be taken seriously as a Team sport IMO . -

If Seb decided he was really going to give it ago in Britain next season, why on on earth would he not be on a Berwick shopping list,we will probably be stick with Doolan,Kus and Edberg who will certainly be hard pushed to improve their averages on what I have seen from them this season.Kus done a good job but being at reserve inflated his average Doolan had a-great end to the season which only made up for his poor start and Edberg still has not got over 4pt average riding at reserve.Finding riders that can improve their average is the key and they are hard to come by.IMO Alden could.Certainly no one faster round Shielfield.

Ok.dont know how many times that has happened but I suspect where it has happened that the rider in that position probably missed a couple of GPs due to injuries and was deemed unlucky not to make top 8

If you think they pick the 9thplace man more often than not ,is that what you are inferring or are you genuinely asking a question
-
why just not make it the top 9 if that's the case.PK over Batchelor for me .

Branford was unlucky in his short spell with Bandits,I would have him back.

New blood is very difficult to attract to British Speedway IMO .

He is an asset though and if he wanted to ride for Berwick we would be foolish not to use him on his average Pepe is on a nice average and he is also an asset and don't think he has qualified for World Long track next season.
