Good to hear,I always enjoy my visits .

Have the club had a good season crowd wise under the new management, they have had a successful season on the track?
-
Perhaps if more of these un's had the skill and talent to pass him he might think about retiring.Until then why should he,Mauger was a gater but the fans still turned up to see who could beat him.Box Office stuff.
-
When I said improve his gating. I was referring to him gating 1st and have the racing line on the 1st corner, gating in any other position leaves you vulnerable .Hampel and Hancock are examples of what I am talking about they win more races than they lose simply by gatingas do most of the top men.Hence the reason regarding Darcy.

That wouldn't be too difficult. -
Darcy is a fabulous talent but unless he brushes up his gating it will be difficult for him win Titles ,when you get to semi's you are meeting 3 riders that are on form on the night and it will be difficult to pass them all if you miss the gate as last night proved.Hancock certainly shows that gating is important.

Not his biggest fan,but has has always had a fantastic style and is a class act on the bike ,Well done and deserved World Title.maybe his mate Darcy will take leaf out of Tai's book it will increase his chances of being Champ. -
Have to agree with you on that one. Machin certainly knows the business and it is disappointing that he is wanting out.He certainly would not pay over the odds and I respect his view.

While I have no reason to dispute your figures, for me it just doesn't add up .there must be a lot of mediocre riders out there with superb back up and a good accountant for the tax returns. The BSPA need to bring in regulations that standardise equipment and slow the sport down a little to bring more closer and competitive racing. THE DEAN MACHINE IMO has a lot of valid points regarding bikes and maintenance.

I don't believe that a 7.5-8.5 pt rider riding in the PL doesn't make money out the sport. What is the average points money for a Heat Leader these days.Normal employment is the answer if it doesn't pay IMO

Lawson will always be on handy average if his father is still looking after his bikes. -
maybe a swop for Nikki Barrett would be a good deal ,a track specialist with a handy average.

Yer some guy , you can tell fans that don't have an internet connection !!!! The crowds aren't that small are they.(majority)
-
Fine
-
Crowds getting smaller and Wages and expenses getting bigger don't suggest a thriving business.like you say though 4or 5 people expressing negative views won't make any difference overall because you reckon the majority of fans don't even look on here, after all it is a forum where fans can express their views,Good to hear that everything is rosy in the BigEddie world.

I commented to your good self that the crowd attending Ricky's. Meeting last Sat used to be a normal attendance at Berwick a few years ago, given that ,I am pleased to know that the sport is still thriving in the area giving the crowd levels I have witnessed this season.Once again you are comparing to other sports in the area which is irrelevant to the subject being discussed. It is only last winter that the plugged was going to be pulled if suitable Sponsership could not be found.Speedway in UK is not thriving at any track IMO
-
Unfortunately you are in the minority ,many have just deserted for the reasons being mentioned .how you can use a Rugby or Football Pitch as an example is beyond me I am afraid.

Some people will like the post for the other content but will be disappointed in some respects I fear. -
7riders committed to the Bandits and a decent prepared track every week is all we need. The rest will take care of itself.
