  1. Crowds getting smaller and Wages and expenses getting bigger don't suggest a thriving business.like you say though 4or 5 people expressing negative views won't make any difference overall because you reckon the majority of fans don't even look on here, after all it is a forum where fans can express their views,Good to hear that everything is rosy in the BigEddie world.
  2. I commented to your good self that the crowd attending Ricky's. Meeting last Sat used to be a normal attendance at Berwick a few years ago, given that ,I am pleased to know that the sport is still thriving in the area giving the crowd levels I have witnessed this season.Once again you are comparing to other sports in the area which is irrelevant to the subject being discussed. It is only last winter that the plugged was going to be pulled if suitable Sponsership could not be found.Speedway in UK is not thriving at any track IMO
  3. Unfortunately you are in the minority ,many have just deserted for the reasons being mentioned .how you can use a Rugby or Football Pitch as an example is beyond me I am afraid.
  4. Some people will like the post for the other content but will be disappointed in some respects I fear.
  5. 7riders committed to the Bandits and a decent prepared track every week is all we need. The rest will take care of itself.
  6. I sure I heard over the tannoy that they had raised over £10,000 before the meeting, perhaps someone could clarify that.
  7. When you compare Hansen's Scandanavian for to the likes of Alden I don't. See any reason to why he could not be a PL number 1. Jamrog could be anything and defiantly worth a punt.
  8. Why?if he takes out a UK licence there should not be a problem assuming he wants to ride in GB
  9. Jamrog certainly knew how to entertain and was very stylish definitely worth a punt if he wants to come to Berwick.Hansen looked ok but if he is going to be riding all over the continent is it worth it.IMO we should be looking for a decent Aussie who rides in Britain for 6 months to make money.,and not these Scandinavian mercenaries who look on GB to top up their continental earnings and don't care anything about the Club.Alternately a young Czech or Slovak who doesn't have a lot of Continental Teams or commitments
  10. your right the two you mention let the team down Rusty was woeful considering he rode there he was like a novice. Lawson wasn't much better.
  11. Kyle Howarth is very impressive this season and is one of the most improved young riders in GB .IMO.Although Morris had a decent meeting and done most of the passing on the night.
  12. I agree Oldtimer is right missing riders throughout the season just p*ss a lot of fans off.The argument that your still seeing 4 riders doing 4 laps is not working its time the Promoters got this situation under control.
  13. While we may be jumping the gun here,If he was signed he probably be at reserve so he wouldn't be the end of the world if we had to use a NL GUEST if he missed some weeks ,if he is a prospect and we make him an asset it can only benefit the club in the long run.IMO.
  14. Better with youngsters who are going to improve than watching journeymen superstars just going through the motions.IMO
  15. Would like to think that Bellego could persuade him that Berwick is the place to be .has been getting good write ups on the Continent probably would need patience with him at that age though.see what he is like tomorrow
  16. That would be sensible World Champ is what it is all about .No one will remember European Champ.Best of luck to him can't see him losing it if he turns up.
  17. Results are not going the right way so suddenly its ill thought out,why is defeat at Somerset inevitable look what happened tonight .Moarchs fans are now saying Workington are favourites for their section and they have not even been to Ipswich YET.Have Redcar and Workington not just proved that Play offs can be exciting.Ps I still believe whoever wins the League should be Champs, but have to admit it prolongs the season for more Teams.
  18. Its time Promoters realised the fans are not going to keep accepting these kind of things and are walking away in numbers.
  19. If he rides and finishes the meeting ,what happens at Birmingham on Monday if he decides he is injured again, will they be allowed a guest.
  20. Could be wrong but don't think Albin belongs to us.Did he actually sign for Berwick
