IMO Procter is overrated and has not lived up to the hype that he is always given certainly no Doyle.Wish him the best of luck though and an injury free season.Somerset will do well if they finish top 4 IMO
-
For one so young he rides with his head ,he is going places IMO.superb style and control,I saw him on his first ride round Berwick in 2012 and you would have though he had practiced there for years.
-
Have to agree with you,it's their profession they should be keeping their eye on the ball after the Masters and Campton situation last year.Rule changes are a poor excuse if it's how you make your living.
-
Fantastic talent IMO
-
I think that has been the problem in recent seasons, the track being prepared to suit certain riders,I say prepare a track that can be raced inside or outside like the U /21 and tell them to get on with it.Far too often in recent seasons the outside of the track was a "no-go " area for the first 2/3rds of the meeting IMO
-
My choice would be1 Doolan 2 Kus 3 Bellego 4 Wethers 5 Vissing 6 Jensen 7 Carr
-
Specsavers for you I feel ,while the team lacks an out right No1 considering you have to work to a points limit it does look like Strenght in depth team on paper. While you may mock Taffys post there are a considerable number of fans would say he has a valid point.
-
Think we know what Doolan and Wethers will do ,the rest could be anything, like you I expect Bellego to be the key man but I'm hopeful that Vissing might do the business .Not the best team on paper but we all know that means nothing in speedway.

What Cooke are your referring to Craig Cook or is there another Cooke that is much older.

Who Was The Best Rider In The World In 2013?
Fromafar replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think that is why the monthly Match Race Challenges in speedway were so intriguing and drew large crowds. -
You sound like Dick Barrie on this one!!!

No it shut in '67 to built stadium for Commonweath Games,I. Think you may be thinking of Hampden Park for that one ,could be wrong though.Sheffield also hosted abig round of the Championship but I think that was the late 60's.

Im afraid some people just like to stir things up regarding certain posters ,I am well aware of the help you have given a number of riders over the years and I am sure it is well appreciated by them, keep up the good work. Most of my Posts tend to relate to speedway in general and are not aimed at Individual riders unless that is the specific subject.
-
agree given the difficulties with Masters and Campton last year you would think Professional sportsmen would be on top of the situation.
-
A lot of 2+2=5 on this subject IMO Im sure Liam has it all in hand
-
fair enough I am not having ago Liam in particular although when I saw him at Edinburgh last season I'm sure his Tammy had SKINT logo on it!!!
-
Fair enough but there are dozen of young riders in the same boat,if Liam wants to make it in speedway he has just go to get on with it,no good relying on other peoples gestures although every little helps ,no one asked him to be a speedway rider.Pleading poverty is not the answer .
-
I am talking about MY ORIGINALPOINT about speedway in general and young riders not specifically Liam

Oz Championships 2013-14
Fromafar replied to Primary Chain's topic in International World of Speedway
Is Kozza fit I had heard that he injured himself in Oz but someone said he was Ok.Funny that he has not ridden in Oz maybe his website will have the answer -
Your missing the point I am making these young riders can't use the machinery to its full capability ,it's set up that counts more so why waste money on super tuned machinery..A few end up injured due to lack of skill to handle super fast bikes.IMO.
-
I think this competitive machinery is overplay.,most youngsters need to learn to ride their bike before buying a "so called rocket machine" set up properly a 500cc speedway bike is good enough for most riders at that level in fact I would say most riders, that is why machinery should be standardised IMO and save riders a lot of expense.
