  1. They have suddenly decided riding Moterbikes in the rain is dangerous. They should have watched Qualifying for World Superbikes from Donnington, difference is the Road Racers just got on with, knowing it is not going to be cancelled.the throttle works both ways is the saying.
  2. Count Zagar in if you want to.It was a whinge regarding GPstars. They are just taking the P*ss IMO .Speedway is in enough trouble attracting crowds without last nights carry-on.
  3. They were Definately "racing" in Heat 11,except the GP star.,interesting when we get a wet GP will he complain,if the track at a GP was like last night he would be a laughing stock.
  4. It's just a slick track dry weather sport nowadays, all the International riders complaining how dangerous it is riding a speedway bike, they seem to forget where they earn there living. It is a dangerous sport and always has been.
  5. Correct there was no way there was not going to be 10 heats tonight riders safety or not.Nigel was telling us that all night. That was a decent track tonight if that was an individual meeting with prize money there would not even had been a track inspection.the riders would have poodles round and split the money *uck the fans would have been the Motto.Disgraceful decision.
  6. Rossiter and Batchelor certainly put the pressure on,watching Rosco with the glum face when discussing the conditions was classic, there won't be many fans making an effort to go watch speedway if tonight's conditions can get a match put off.The sport is on its last legs at El level in Britain.
  7. That's why nobody goes to speedway any more that's a joke to call that off.2nds strings show GP riders how to get stuck in.Farcical IMO.Pearson is also a joke spent the whole night saying how bad the meeting was, what was he watching
  8. They invent rules from day to day, refs seem not to know correct rule when these circumstances arise, the Procter shambles being an example.
  9. Have to agree Berwick riders were up for it and done most of the passing when they missed the gate.Thought it was a decent meeting but with Berwick winning that was always going to be how it looked for me.I really enjoy the racing at Derwent Park plenty of lines if the riders are up for it.
  10. If I remember same thing happened to Somerset at Redcar with Nick Morris But Havelock objected to declared Team and the guest had to ride(can't remember his name but he only scored about 4)so I assume Worky would have To go with declared Team. Its on of these stupid rules again where your own rider cant ride for his own Team.
  11. Looks like Danny is going to find the PL a little tougher than was envisaged, but even his 15 pointers are not going to save the Diamonds with that line up.
  12. Just back from Worky ,have to say all 7 bandits had there moment tonight,Steen was awesome and looking for his teammates all night,Claus did not take any prisoners (as usual).Liam gated and was on the pace keep Wells at the back for 3 laps..Kevin looked quicker than of late, decent match, not sure about Worky good Team on paper BUT.Cant believe how Wells is so poor,Definately just going through the motions in PL.Howarth is over riding and had a couple of dodgy moments .
  13. Cash winning the League is probably right unfortunately it is money that can't be afforded in a lot of cases.
  14. Agree and if you look at last nights match from Sweden that was a superb shape plenty racing lines and perfect track prep on a warm night no sign of much dust and the riders were supremely confident of track prep with the way they were wheel to wheel entering the the bends. It can be done.
  15. On the just sign any rider scenario, would it really matter if cash wins the League,it might mean that second rate riders might not be able to command big points money because they have a suitable average.Like yourself I don't know the answer but rules regarding them are certainly ruining the sport which is not taken seriously by a large number of supporters anymore and are drifting away from the sport.
  16. This will test out Danny King on his drop down to PL level.
  17. Just save fixture congestion and missing riders (in Workingtons case this is a major problem IMO ) and give Monarchs the Trophy.
  18. Correct,I judge a rider by his effort and commitment every time he is on track.which in a lot of cases bares no reflection on their average.Entertainment is the key factor.
