This isn't a criticism of any particular riders but a7 point average from your Top man on paper isn't going to get you far.Winning vital races is more important.take Kus on Sat had 3 wins but 2 poor rides he rode to his average if it had been a tight match it might have made the difference,you surely have to beat opposition reserves when you are on form.for a lot of riders Home form keeps their "average". Averages don't mean a lot to me ,but again that is just an opinion.Cook at Edinburgh is an example of how to really ride to your average when it is a meaningful target,not 6or7 points a meeting which is relatively easy for a so called Heat Leader.On another note must congratulate the Berwick Track Staff for track prep this season it has been excellent IMO .
