  1. Amazing how this can go ahead, still we were told it would not be off. Rosco will be confused now.Health and Safety and visibility don't seen to come into the equation when it suits.
  2. Think your missing something, but you never know with the weather.
  3. All of them,Berwick will have to make that there are no re-run heats involving Cook.
  4. Somebody told him you would be there so he is giving it a miss !
  5. Celebrations all round at the Showground!!!!!!!
  6. At home,I am talking away as Screm was implying in his post.
  7. A rash statement to make IMO,and not really nessasary.
  8. Not so sure, but as long as he takes care of the other Teams reserves he will be ok.Steen was taking care off the opposition Heat Leaders which is a hard act to follow.
  9. You obviously don't know much about modern goggle technology.
  10. That's one of the solutions if the powers at be would recognise that there are issues regarding running speedway in wet track conditions.Unfortunately their answer is abandon the meeting we've got the punters cash.
  11. I would like to pass on my condolences. To the Family of Tom Anderson our former Start Marshall ,he as a bit of a character and we had few laughs and jokes with him in the pits after the meetings. He will be sadly missed.
  12. Its not about living in the past, speedway is in dire state, there are lot of others things to replace it nowadays and a bit of damp weather has become a major issue in the sport ,some thing needs to be done the majority of the fans are not that gullible.Like has been pointed out in another these rain -off meeting will have be be run at the end of the season where if conditions are bad they will soldier on just to complete.Except there will be no one to watch the ways things are handled just now.
  13. I think your point regarding regarding meetings being called off without being completed is a valid point, people are fed up knowing if the weather is dodgy they will attempt to run 10 heats just to get a result that is short changing the paying public,if the meeting starts it should be run to a finish except in exceptional circumstances .Birmingham the other night had very little dirt and grading was a waste of time.We need dirt on the track and the riders to slow down if circumstances dictate.I remember the days when some riders liked a wet track.
  14. the latest Berwick newsletter says that last weeks match at Plymouth was Jensen last match at reserve.
  15. waste of time these days trying to improve track conditions 1/2 the riders won't like ,away Team probably want to ride,Home probably won't,Ref will panic over Health and Safety, call it off anyway .the sport is in turmoil these days regarding Weather and track conditions.Even I have second thoughts if I think there is going to be a SPOT of rain these days.
  16. technology has ruined the sport and the powers at be will still not recognise it.there is more to the sport than speed, get some dirt on the track and produce some rules to slow the sport down and bring back the skill factor instead of just holding on too a rocket ship.Fans are just not going to be interested in turning up if there is a cloud in the Sky.Listening to Rosco tonight shows how the sport is all about self interest.Clown.He should have at least been diplomatic about it.We have now seen both sides of Rosco in the last 2 weeks.
  17. Good to see Henry fixed up,he is a value for money rider, who gives it his best shot.
  18. If the track was prepared properly why would it be slick because of dry weather ,no excuse IMO .
  19. That's a forum for you,sometime it gets sidetracked.
  20. There is nothing in the newsletter linking any named riders to Redcar.
