A little bit of dirt and light track watering between heats is what makes decent tracks.Riders are against track watering mainly because tracks are too slick these days IMO .It was mentioned on Sky last week that tracks that are heavily watered provide the best racing after the first few heats to turn over the shale,I think most fans would agree with that.
Numerous fans from all clubs have voice their disapproval of the guest rider system, yet the BSPA seem to make the situation worse every season with their changes IMO.No point of putting ideas forward IMO . Hawkins was decent around Berwick in 2004 when he was a Bandit,so you could be right regarding equipment.
Michael made an error in Oct 1987 ,he should have consulted Screm before making his "hurricane" forecast, and recently Big Ed found to his cost that Screm's your man for the weather.
Think that is due to the way the sport is Promoted in this country now.Fans throughout the country have made sensible suggestions throughout the last few years but very little has been taken up by the powers at be,or things might have been different. The Team ethos has been diluted IMO.
Agree ,but it doesn't help promote the sport with this farcical situation of riders riding for multiple teams and guesting for others. You certainly couldn't,think you know what I mean,if not please look at my reply to Steve Park,as that was my main point which maybe was not clear in my original Post.
While he might not have the biggest fan club these don't think you can fault his pre-meeting introductions,he is knowledgable about the opposition riders and gives the mascots there moment to remember (if they want too).Due To the results this season ,he has also been subdued some what as the meetings were progressing.!!!!! Which is a blessing to some fans, especially the away support.
while you may be right regarding your team strength,I think the guests are a good choice on the "horses for courses theory"Lawson is quick round Berwickif he gates and IMO Barker might be the only on to trouble him,Branford is 100% trier, don't think Covetti has been to Berwick (if he was here with Sheffield last year he certainly didnot do much if he was.Hard figure result though.
