I think you could be wrong in saying never,I can't remember tactical substitutes in the 60's.Some one might be able to tell when they were first introduced I'm sure.
it's all very well having fancy Stadiums, but let's face most of the tracks in these Stadiums are crap and don't let the riders show their skills to the full extent, there was no way you could race down the straight fairly last night, there was not enough room.Fans a paying a lot of money for a seat In a fancy stadium.
they were both in winning positions when they messed up on there own don't think that qualifys for best riders on the night. They rode well though.Zager was a touch unlucky IMO
They always seem to exclude the inside pass in these situations I agree with you on this one Kildemand goes down very easily. He is an entertainer rider though and is always good on slick tracke that suit his style.Tai took it well probably because of the situation on the night more than anything.
I think that's why most fans think the sport should be run by an Independant Body, but can't see t hat happening any time soon.Your point regarding Hobbyist promoters coming in and throwing money at the sport raising the costs is a good point IMO .
Is there that much to investigate? It would probably unveil the Promotions are paying out more money than they gathering in.One thing for sure you won't get any running costs or riders pay deals from any Promotion just the fact that they are losing money!
Has speedway journalism really got anything to do with the state the sport is in.!!! The letters page was the forum before social media began, that was about it.
