  1. It your virtual world,do you seriously think that the average Speedway fans who follow their Team home and away would rely on this forum for Team News.Berwick have at tendency to release their official Bulliten a little late in the week which is their prerogative .not everybody has sign up to the Newsletter.I can see their point from a press and publicity point of view,I don't know but perhaps these announcement could be made a little earlier.Personaly I think the latest missing rider saga regarding Kus not going to be at Edinburgh in the last fixture could have been announced at the Home meeting on the Wednesday when they new fine he was not going to be there.Certain people are complaining about rumours of missing riders again but the boot is on the other foot this time because the riders are going to be there,I never saw and clarification when they were going to be missing we were just left to assume.
  2. I am guessing the delay in Greaves later exclusion was because they though he could go of 15mtrs .Could be wrong though. I find it unbelievable if he did not tell anybody regarding the clock situation ,but like yourself I would like to see it brought in at ALL tracks and adhered too.
  3. If you read my post correctly you will see that I stated that I was unclear regarding the clock, but in a professionally run sport surely the Team Mamagers must have noticed this strange object on centre green and enquirer what it was going to be used for alternatively the Ref should have informed the what his intentions were regarding the clock. The sport is a farce and last night was another example of the pettiness between certain people.passing the buck is the name of the game these days .
  4. This is only the "virtual" world and any thing quoted on here is not to be heeded, that's what we have been told so that's what I do.!!!!! .Forum Fannies the lot of us (when it suits).
  5. While it is unclear what was said before the meeting started regarding the introduction of the clock,I agree the Ref went by the clock and that should have stopped all the messing about at the start and after a couple of exclusions it did.Fair play to him needs to be done at ALL tracks though to avoid confusion.Kelvin and Pearson were only concerned regarding Transmission time ,every other week Kelvin is moaning about the messing about at starts and restarts.
  6. Have we scored 60 at Home this season, never mind with ease?which Jensen will turn up 0 or17.
  7. Even starting early it is dodgy trying to have double headers these days if you have a curfew ,if we have a incident that requires the County Ambulance we will do well to complete 30 heats,Still fingers crossed for a smooth running meeting.
  8. Looks like they are changing rules when this clock is going to be used, surely they have to tell Team Managers and riders before meeting starts. It not rocket science if you have to be ready to race before the clock goes to zero. Ref is only following his own rules by the looks of it.What a shambles .
  9. Just a question. Is there a different set of rules for Gps ,they have to be ready to race.Find it incredible that the rules are not clear and the Home team manager doesn't even know there was a clock .
  10. Middleditch must be fuming Ward is making him look a prat by sticking up for him.Interesting what line Ford will take in this matter.
  11. You have a good point regarding your last line comment,IMO geniune locals will probably treat the meeting as part of their entertainment for the evening then socialise in the pub afterwords and get the politics out of their systems, but for fans like myself who have a long round trip to watch my team it sometimes makes it a long journey home as drinking and driving are not recommended. Its an expensive night out if your not enjoying it for various reasons and I can see why fans just give up on the sport with its stupid rules and regs.It just cannot be taking seriously as a Professional sport.
  12. Yes they can, can't have "drunk riders" causing accidents ,the authorities might get sued if they are asked to breath test a rider after a crash ( could happen in today's legal world)
  13. What was the crowd level compared to the Sky Match? It was certainly a backs to the wall win for the Bandits especially when Jorgensen had to withdraw from the meeting as well .
  14. I agree regarding Jacobs but. Dilger is just a 2nd rate foreigner ,what chances do Young Brits have.
  15. There was a few gate and go tonight after the back straight 1st Lap.Cook and Masters made a pass each after the 1st lap but not much else happened.
  16. It will be interesting to see the crowd level this Sat,this is a top of the table clash and a few years ago this would have attracted afair amount of neutrals from local tracks but nowadays fans just don't travel for these fixtures (probably financial ).For me Personaly weaken teams and guests don't help the situation, but that is modern day Speedway.Locals might not bother so much if your just walking up the road, but neutral fans that travel a fair distance could be put off.IMOAs a footnote to my post I will add the I spoke to 2 monarch fans tonight who make regular visits to Berwick and intended going to-morrow ,they asked if Kus and Bellego were missing when told they were they have changed their mind and giving it a miss for that reason.Justifying my thoughts on the matter.
  17. Do you think Vissing would go back to Edinburgh,he really struggled with the track last season.Depends on money offered I suppose.Has had a great Season at Berwick we have to try and keep him,
