I did notice, but really don't understand why the 4"s qualifiers in the South failed to attract fans compared to the North.Maybe more distance between some tracks but by the same token better road network than up North at the time.I think a 4 Team Final would be as much a success as what is being run now as the Final.Probably nothing will change though.!
Berwick couldn't afford him, think we tried to get him before but demands were excessive.think he is one of a number of riders who keeps his average down so as he attractive for signing(and guesting).Either that or he is well past his best!!!
Personaly I don't like the way the Final is run now,2 rides and you could be on your way home the riders can't be too keen IMO .A 16 heat final with 4 Teams on a neutral track would be better IMO .Redcar meeting seemed to go down well.
Thats been tried before, but Promoters with biggest budgets always win.Even if a standard pay rate was introduced these Promoters always find a way round it with"sponsorship " it's been tried before and failed.
Don't think Tigers running on a Friday would affect Monarchs crowd these days. They generally boycott each each other now except at Derby matches.Casual fans are thin on the ground nowadays.
Don't see what the big deal is regarding being wildcard,if it's going to cost you a fortune .BSI are only thinking in THEIR INTERESTS to get some local interest with the Aussies.Lets face it Fricke is the only one with GP aspirations in the future.
Masters should just tell them to "poke it" instead of begging for money, that is the one thing the riders are good at.If he can't afford don't do it.Might even cost him earnings from Edinburgh meetings,if weather turns bad.He is also complaining about a "bad shoulder".
Fantastic GP,that was real speedway on a great track ,just shows what the fans are missing when the riders can show their real skills without hitting ruts on all these Mickey Mouse temporary tracks. No falls or crashes either.Well done to Tai.
