That's the way it crumbles.

Think he won his first 2 races one night and was taken out in Heat 8 by a monarch .Anyway he will probably come back to haunt us when Sheffield visit Berwick. He seemed to lose interest at Berwick last season ,he is a talent IMO and is still young.

They are planning another Cookie night in the winter so think it is safe to say he might be returning!!!!!!
-
Agree,as long as we can afford them.
-
Good news

The problem is the Promotion have stated that Speedway is unsustainable in Berwick with the level of weekly support whether it be people picking and choosing meetings or not.speedway is not going to get any cheaper at PL level IMO so they have to attract more fans every week not just when it is a big meeting in the fans eyes.I agree times are hard and financial restraints stop people attending regularly unfortunately.Ps Did the £10 entry attract more fans ,I think the jury is out on that one,so it is not just the cost of admission .IMO

Think Bellego will do a job home and away, can win a race at any track if he is in the mood .
-
Where has the crowd disappeared too if the racing is good at Shielfield or more important why.I would settle for new faces rather than the usual journeymen who end up at Berwick these days. You have to be able to keep them though.Alden.Aspregren,Jensen,Bellego all entertained but then seemed to lose interest.
-
The averages kill of any chance of having aTeam of assets nowadays if they improve you can't fit them In a and lot of the time they want to move on anyway to further their career if they are ambitious. If they don't ride in UK they are worthless.
-
Just a gater which is ideal for Shielfield, but wouldn't be a good signing (for Berwick)Imo.
-
I know the situation with Bellego and I am not fussy about Barrett but We need to stop being so polite when it comes to negotiating with riders .Lets face it Kus could not have been that keen to return either.Allen on a 7 cuts our options down quite a bit. Barrett is just a decent reserve ,but finding a partner that is already better than him could be difficult .Edberg is no better than him and he seems to be the favourite for the position
-
Why are we letting our asset ride for another club ((Barrett,Bellego)when our team is not yet sorted out.Poor planning IMO .
-
Call my Bluff springs to mind,it's not the first time that a rider has been in this situation IMO .
-
Based on the story 21Kfor Kus I would suggest about 35K.!!!!!!!! Best of luck to Havvy,he will need it.
-
I am quite sure if Kus wanted to ride only for the Bandits next year he would have been at Shielfield.
-
Unlike the Waite era Foreigners don't come cheap nowadays and we are skint by the sound of things. We do need another Heat leader to back up Barker (who can win Heats at Home).Vissing would be the man but it seems all quiet on that front.Interesting !!
-
It still is as he was given aWild Card for this coming season.
-
What a lot of rubbish, he gates and then goes faster than most riders for 4 laps,he's not hanging around on all shapes of tracks, doesn't do "Fisher" and fall on his ar#e once a meeting (everybody calls him a racer ).Most Teams would take him if they had the chance.
-
Plenty riders if you can match pay demands.Surely they know what's happening with Allen it's only they average situation they have to enquire about if the lad has the qualification criteria, which they say he has.
-
See in the Newsletter that Berwick are hinting that Jake Allen is not a foregone conclusion as he still needs a visa from the right authorities.
-
He did. And was impressive when I saw him at Berwick I would put him on par with Max Fricke at 15 which is good guide plus you know he has more cycle skills if you watched him in the Red Bull rookie series, certainly worth a try IMO .
-
That is my understanding regarding the UKBA,so how can these riders get a visa unless there is a loophole .Berwick state he meets the BSPA qualification for a visa as he finished in Top 4 in State Championship but it seems it's the BSPA that said it is on a5 point average, could the UKBA overrule the points average as they seem to be saying new riders must come in a7 point av.
-
don't think we have heard the last of this "new Aussie average". BSPA don't seem to know their own rules that apply to some Promotions and not others .Made up as they go along as usual. If your Granny's Granny'was born in the EU I think your ok
