At least he will get paid for riding Pl for Monarchs,abroad is dodgy regarding money on time if even the amount that was promised .I do think that is as good as he is going to get though.He will make enough money riding in UK.I believe Barker had a contract to ride in Poland last year but only did 1meeting don't know if this was entirely due to injuries ,but think he has been signed up again this year.

You would think al one line statement clarifying the matter would be suffice,one way or the other.

If Allen's average is 7,that means we have signed 3riders for a total of 23pts that leaves 19.5pts for the next 4riders that doesn't give leeway if you want 2 decent reserves IMO if you sign another Heat Leader over 7 we could be struggling to find 3 riders under 12.5 pts.

what is the point of loaning out our assets though, apart from a few quid loan fee,what percentage of assets come back to their original club?

Certain clubs will try everything to get rules changed( not Berwick).better to forget about Allen if it is really interfering with team plans but as yet no one from Promotion has clarified the situation so we will just have to wait and see.

Who do we dump,where do we find these riders that are going to improve their average if they have been about for years and have a low average? We might not have many points to play with if anybody in the Team improves their average (which if we have 2 strong reserves might happen.)this Promotion don't sack riders during the season if previous history is looked at.Its a gamble you just have to take regarding a 7 point assessed rider.IMO there are better assessed in Europe.Speedway in Australia is very limited.

I am all for signing young riders as assets,I but don't think he will be near his 7 point average in his first season,could you explain how we strengthen if he obtains a low average without dropping him.I have asked this question on this subject before but nobody wants to answer.Even if we lose all our matches the rolling averages of the other team members won't change much.

Ireally don't understand what you have against him without seeing him perform at Shielfield on a regular basis.He has a PL average over 7 points which is no mean feat IMO .Did he refuse you his autograph last season.!!

The track record at Berwick will take some beating ,the track is a lot slicker on the outside line than when Alden broke it .

I think that's the case with a lot of foreigners these days,just pocket money in GB saving themselves for abroad and bigger money.

Yep ,Personaly think we dodged a bullet with Matej on that average.though I thank him for the good season he had with Bandits last year.
