Tonight shows that how out of control the sport is,who runs the meeting,the Ref,theTeam Managers or the riders,it seems a different group every time there is controversy .Dont even leave the house now if there is a cloud In the sky,even then Rye was called of because of a dusty track a couple of weeks ago,you couldn't make it up.The sport is pathetic these days.

Garrity has trouble controlling the bike when the track is ok .He is not a yardstick Imo

think for the quality or the racing at the Showground they would get a lot more if the sport was not in such a state,but it is good to here that crowds are reasonable.Great track.

Alex will have the league record for DNF's he certainly doesn't waste fuel.

They are self employed then ,is there a big difference when it comes to paying the wages,the club have negotiated there term and conditions that they will ride for.Riders probably make allowances in these deals for Transport and bikes.

As far as I am concerned the Berwick Promotion are the employers of the riders.If the the riders are in financial difficulties that is a employers problem in the 1st instance.We all know the roll of sponsers and supporters clubs but at the end of the day they don't run the finances of the club.We are always being told that the Promotionhave a budget and don't pay over the odds.The rider signs to ride on agreed terms,I have no idea what riders are being paid but if they can't make it pay that is their problem.Supporters of all clubs are very generous to their riders but more and more they are being asked to fork out money.Its obvious there is a bit of disharmony in the club which does not help these situations .The riders seem well treated at Berwick though.Hall has been a good signing but now he is holding a gun to someone's head IMO .Thats just my opinion on the matter.

surely if the VIP club are helping fund The promotion that would help the promotion if a rider asks his employers for financial help.If they don't have money to help , fair enough,but it's not a case of telling the rider it's the supporters club you have to ask."Us and Them" comes to mind with your comments.

Thats the usual Berwick story "if".thats Speedway nowadays very seldom do you see your own 7 riders on track at the same time.Thats the case for all Teams.Showground is a great racetrack though so it is disappointing that the crowds are low.

Agree it's not aTeam sport.Its just a free for all,whoever they can find to make up a meeting .

Its only what fans have been saying for the last few seasons ,but promoters are saying it's my ball and your not playing with it.Much to the detriment of the sport IMO .

How would you like all the other Teams Top Riders to give Workington a miss because the don't fancy it Hansen is taking the P*ss.At least you might start winning matches if that happened.

Ive earned a few £'s this week I'll just give tomorrow a miss.Is what I make of it.Should he have been passed fit to ride in the meeting if he is injured to the extent he makes out.He never fell during the meeting but could not continue.

Nothing wrong with strenghtening the Team but where do you find the riders!!

Who will be the 1st club to turn up with 7 guests it's getting close.

He's not the only one though.All this about their Teams in their own country recalling them,they can't have their cake and eat it .If teams keep on signing riders that are always missing they should be fined.when they are missing.Its time to merge PL and NL and start making Teams of 7 riders that will turn up every week.Crowds might be tempted back to watch 7 man Teams.

I agree,Hansen taking the P#ss along with a lot of Foreign riders,BSPA need to introduce stricter rules regarding missing riders.Everybody is fed up watching matches featuring Select Teams.There is hardly a match nowadays that has 7 riders that signed to represent their club.Most decent riders have ridden for virtually every Team in the League.British Speedway is a joke .Season after season nothing changes fans are now walking away in droves.

How many though ,that is the question. Can't see us getting anything out of this match.Happy to be proved wrong though.
