  1. You have a valid point,it's said every winter that Promoters have to get there house in order regarding financing and running the sport but the AGM usually results in some minor rule change and they all go home happy saying how great the AGM was. Then say they are in financial difficulties and need money from the fans.
  2. although there seems be a little bit of "turbulence " between the various Supporters Groups I don't think It will have any effect on attendance figures because they are all fans and just want to see Speedway at Berwick,People asking how much other people are chipping in need to take a good look at themselves IMO .its just a case of the Promotions generating more income with their ideas. Its their money in the business after all.
  3. then blows all his earnings in Ibiza and America decides he wants to ride again and wants finance to set him up to help him earn money for next winters jaunts.Mugs are getting short supply I'm afraid
  4. Dont think so.Maybe when the Conferance was only 6 Heats we ran a few meetings
  5. Charlie Mckinna guested for the injured Wayne Brown. Not sure if I have got years mixed up here.? When did we win the cup at Newcastle was that 1980.
  6. Iread shale shifters post different to you I'm afraid ,he is saying the rope 30 mtrs behind start prevented riders going back to pits,at Berwick the rope is beyond the pit gate towards 4th bend ,therefore there is nothing to stop the riders returning to pits.therefore we will beg to differ. Agree,I'm disappointed that the refs don't support the Start marshal more often by throwing out the riders who do not conform to his instructions .
  7. It is not 30mtrs behind start line it is beyond pit gate to stopped riders going round to back straight and making them go to start.the riders could go to start then turn round and ride back into pits if they wanted judging by the position of the rope.?
  8. Your mistaken the rope is at the pits gate and used to make the riders go straight to start instead of heading towards the back straight.
  9. The Bandits V.I.P. Club is a bit different than the Monarchs Trust Fund (which is to be run independent of the Club and Directors).whether it will bring the same income remains to be seen.
  10. Nearly everybody agrees that stick a clock on the Centre Green if your not ready to. Race your out. End off.If the powers at be want to change the rules do it properly IMO !!!.It works perfectly well in GPs. Why make a mountain out of a molehill.
  11. I think the main aim of Supporter Clubs when they were formed in the early days of the Sport was to support the riders in that way.the promotions did not rely on hand outs. The general fund raising was for to give members of the Team a bit of financial help ,don't see your point regarding F#ck the Club.
  12. What has Glasgows top 4 got to do with Theo riding for Scunthorpe
  13. You and Screm seem to be interpretating my Posts incorrectly IMO
  14. not sure what you mean,I would have thought that the Supporters Club would be Independent of the Club.I was saying that the Supporters Club might not give hand outs to the Promotion as they have done in the past and give money to the riders. Then again maybe the Supporters Club are quite happy for the Promotion to to run the VIP club for all I know.
  15. That could also lead to the Promotion not having hand outs from supporters club,it might benefit the riders more in future.
  16. Pepe would be a good back up on that average he goes well at Sheffield.
  17. why is it that the Monarchs Chatzone can report that Ben and Thomas are riding in the Ben Fund Meeting in a quote from Keith Hamblin in the local Berwick Advertiser yet Bandits Website don't announce that Fact.?
  18. I was there, don't think they actually ran heats but could be wrong.Belle Vue did not turn up if I remember correctly.
