The Speedway Star does not show this as televised meeting,is that a mistake,or have they changed their mind.?

I have said it before but riders like Zager and a couple of others are just topping up their "pocket money"in Britain.-

Think that is due to the way the sport is Promoted in this country now.Fans throughout the country have made sensible suggestions throughout the last few years but very little has been taken up by the powers at be,or things might have been different.The Team ethos has been diluted IMO.

Agree ,but it doesn't help promote the sport with this farcical situation of riders riding for multiple teams and guesting for others. You certainly couldn't,think you know what I mean,if not please look at my reply to Steve Park,as that was my main point which maybe was not clear in my original Post.

While he might not have the biggest fan club these don't think you can fault his pre-meeting introductions,he is knowledgable about the opposition riders and gives the mascots there moment to remember (if they want too).Due To the results this season ,he has also been subdued some what as the meetings were progressing.!!!!! Which is a blessing to some fans,especially the away support.

while you may be right regarding your team strength,I think the guests are a good choice on the "horses for courses theory"Lawson is quick round Berwickif he gates and IMO Barker might be the only on to trouble him,Branford is 100% trier,don't think Covetti has been to Berwick (if he was here with Sheffield last year he certainly didnot do much if he was.Hard figure result though.

A decent lead will be required, Ipswich look strong on paper but seem to be a bit " hit or miss" on track.heres hoping!!!

For the 1st round of National Competition how can this sport be taken seriously ,There is hardly a match nowadays where guests are not required with this latest double up / double down nonsense,while is still a speedway meeting ,is it meaningful.These are the things that require sorting out if you want fans to turn up regularly .Like someone mentioned speedway is on support machine not just Berwick.

Although it would not be possible to do during a season.Given the shape and width cannot be altered I would like to see the majority of the banking taken of the bends as it would slow the speed down and would need a bit of thought on how to ride the track .As it stands just now it just open the throttle and hold on type of racing.Might bring more entertaining racing IMO .

Masters would be a better option IMO .But as Monarchs are going to be one of your biggest challengers perhaps using aMonarch as a guest should be avoided !!!!!

It is a forum and it is about opinions,but you are giving yours views to about a dozen fans on this forum,who in the main are regular attenders.All this rhetoric about the silent majority is bullsh#t.The silent majority are no longer attending IMO .the place should still be packed out though going by your posts on here where you are introducing news fans on a regular basis and meeting all those old fans who are returning and enjoying their evening.Pretending you don't know of things going on behind the scenes is a rich coming from you.I do not know what the answer is but if the fans are voting with their feet there has to be good reason IMO .The sport in general is in serious trouble not just Berwick.
