Scrap The Controversial Heat 10 Rule!
Fromafar replied to heathen chemistry's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If you need the Ht 10 rule ,then give the fans a refund of 1/3 of entrance fee on the way out.!! Judging by last there won't be big queue's waiting if the weather is inclement . -
The 3 you mention have tried and failed to take the step up.
-
Has he not stated that he is trying to break into the Polish League. He is a top Brit but that's as far as it goes,we are not full of world class riders nowadays though.
-
It was strange how Pearson was silent about running 10 heats last night,he usually never stops repeating it in normal wet meetings!!! Think he knew something!!
-
It's strange how Speedway becomes a dangerous sport around Heat 9 on a wet track.Harris must have been told to sit in the Pits he would have revelled in these conditions.
-
Craig Cook is nothing more than Top PL rider.
-
Agree, and just have the play -off between yourselves and rebels next week and save a lot of promotions running meaningless meetings!!!!!!!
-
Yep, that's why the Heat 10 rule should be scrapped,if not 15 heats there should no result. That would make them think a it more whether to start the meeting or not.
-
Tonight shows that how out of control the sport is,who runs the meeting, the Ref,theTeam Managers or the riders,it seems a different group every time there is controversy .Dont even leave the house now if there is a cloud In the sky, even then Rye was called of because of a dusty track a couple of weeks ago,you couldn't make it up.The sport is pathetic these days.
-
Garrity has trouble controlling the bike when the track is ok .He is not a yardstick Imo
-
That was my impression of his gesture!
-
Yep!

The stripy cats v Stripy Cats should be a cracking Semi.

Panthers V Berwick 29/5/2015 Premier League 7.30pm

think for the quality or the racing at the Showground they would get a lot more if the sport was not in such a state, but it is good to here that crowds are reasonable.Great track. -
They are self employed then ,is there a big difference when it comes to paying the wages, the club have negotiated there term and conditions that they will ride for.Riders probably make allowances in these deals for Transport and bikes.

As far as I am concerned the Berwick Promotion are the employers of the riders. If the the riders are in financial difficulties that is a employers problem in the 1st instance. We all know the roll of sponsers and supporters clubs but at the end of the day they don't run the finances of the club.We are always being told that the Promotionhave a budget and don't pay over the odds. The rider signs to ride on agreed terms,I have no idea what riders are being paid but if they can't make it pay that is their problem.Supporters of all clubs are very generous to their riders but more and more they are being asked to fork out money. Its obvious there is a bit of disharmony in the club which does not help these situations .The riders seem well treated at Berwick though.Hall has been a good signing but now he is holding a gun to someone's head IMO .Thats just my opinion on the matter.

Kozza looks to be struggling no signs of him racing into form so far this season. -
surely if the VIP club are helping fund The promotion that would help the promotion if a rider asks his employers for financial help.If they don't have money to help , fair enough, but it's not a case of telling the rider it's the supporters club you have to ask."Us and Them" comes to mind with your comments.

Thats the usual Berwick story "if".thats Speedway nowadays very seldom do you see your own 7 riders on track at the same time.Thats the case for all Teams.Showground is a great racetrack though so it is disappointing that the crowds are low. -

Its only what fans have been saying for the last few seasons ,but promoters are saying it's my ball and your not playing with it.Much to the detriment of the sport IMO .
