  1. Hope Greg was watching might learn something about what to do if another rider takes your line. Nicki just rode as he normally does its just the other riders were not worried about him and just got on with it. it goes to show that there is some talent missing from the GPs,this is an excellent advert for the sport,no Mickey Mouse home made tracks made it more exciting as the rider can get stuck on without being thrown all over the place with ruts.
  2. He needs to leave the sport and take up knitting. The fans are getting short changed these days.
  3. to be honest,I think an away win is on the cards looking at their line up.
  4. The reduced price of admission also may be a factor ,as Swindon recently pointed out.So it's is obvious that most Promotions are living above their means as they cannot survive on twice the crowd and reducing Admission by a third,I doubt that Sky meetings attract many new fans though if it does they certainly don't become regulars judging by reports.
  5. You could have asked 100 people "what happened next" and I reckon NO ONEwould have said "flying high tackle"
  6. Craig Cook?there was a kind of hint of something in his interview that suggested he might get to try out the track.Could be wrong though
  7. dont know the answer to your question, but I do know he has done more to help Berwick Speedway over the years helping riders than most fans on the terracing.
  8. Where did you see Pedersen gesturing when he seen Hancock on the floor,I only seen Hancock running full tilt down the track at Pedersen.
  9. I'm am not a fan of Pedersen ,but it is very unprofessional for Greg to carp on about him and his riding tactics. He is a 3 times world Champion and still at the top in the sport. He has a ruthless streak the many riders don't like but I have seen a lot riders just as bad as Niki.Anyone watching the SWC final would have seen some VERY RUTHLESS riding. We might have to introduce a yellow and red card system if Ref 's have to exclude riders for dangerous riding to often. Ps I have seen a lot worse than Niki's move last night on a regular basis,I reckon 60-70% of riders "close the door"on other riders on the straight. Most riders know what opponents to "look out for" and ride accordingly
  10. Watched it a few timesGreg did drift out a little and gave Niki a opening, thought Greg would have seen it coming slightly earlier and took evasive action ,Lindgren was much harder on the young Pole on Sat in SWC,but the Pole cut back sharply and passed Lindgren into next bend, think age is catching up on Greg and the reflexes are slowing down a little.Should not have launched himself at Niki while he was still under power though, that could have been nasty,a bit of handbags in the pits would have been enough.Should be banned IMO.
  11. this will be a tough one for Bandits,if Fisher has a good night, and Risager wins his usual couple of races here.Should be a close match.
  12. It looked a very hard move, but like others have said that SWC Final had more than few similar moves.Greg did drift slightly wide so maybe should have anticipated Niki as he knows what he is like.think it was history building up that caused his reaction, but IMO he was wrong to dive at him.
  13. Comet 49 is near enough 24.6 from Edinburgh city centre to Armadale
  14. Yeh Max is definitely the centre green Ref at Ashfield ,keeps the Ref informed if there is any anomalies concerning away riders!!!!
  15. Agree, the point I'm making is you still have same scenario as before if you are going to allow the mechanics time.Just put them on 1 min if it's a false start,at least it would save some time.
  16. The classic was last meeting Edinburgh were at Ashfield ,Branford got excluded for going into pits after a false start. Now the riders just get their mechanics to run in and out of the pits, what's the point!!!
  17. Agree, what is the point when all that happens now is to employ a fit mechanic.Another stupid rule that can be broken legally.
  18. It is not a dig ,I am just pointing out that the Post was probably fact rather than a guess .The rules are very unclear in our sport. If you read my earlier comments on the thread you will see my point,I was pointing out that "Al" probably knew what he was talking about.Your ignorance on this subject also shows IMO.Your interpretation of my post is incorrect .
  19. I'm sure"Al Stewart" would have consulted with Alex Harkness regarding that rule, which is obviously somewhere in the "how to interpretat the rule book" before he posted his post regarding this matter. Its time a gallon of petrol and a match were used on the rule book and start again.
  20. That was a fantastic speedway meeting, had everything. The riders showed fantastic skills in tight situations.
