  1. I agree that 1 big league would be a good option to start with.Promoters have to stand strong regarding riders demands, trouble is some Promotions have always found a way round this issue in the past and would probably do the same in the future if a pay cap was put in place.
  2. Gather from your posts your not a Philip fan all you do is criticise his posts on any subject IMO .
  3. Looks like it could be a cracker of a meeting ,very open line-up.I fancy Cook to win it.
  4. You point is valid but it is up to the Promotions to get together and work for each other not just for themselves .Everyone has a different solution of how to help the situation so a compromise should be able to reach that will at least to someway to rectifying some of the problems in the Sport.I for one do believe there are problems In the sport and I am not just having a whinge .
  5. He will get shot down just like the rest of fans showing concerns, everything Hunky Dory in the Speedway World it's just the old timers having a whinge according to some.Nothing to worry about !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Agree, value for money comes into it.BSB bikes certainly fits that category IMO
  7. Its just Mickey Mouse has fell out of favour by the looks of it then.
  8. That is subject to BSPA discretion that is quoted in these situations, infamous rule usually heads or tails you win.
  9. Dont think he Majority are ex-fans.Some die - hard fans are showing concern IMO ,while they might be in the Minority on this Forum, the rest have just walked away without complaining IMO .
  10. I agree, and if the track is not consistent it gives the riders a lot of problems.Track prep is very important these days and sometimes it's not up to scratch IMO
  11. By the same token a lot a fans have stopped attending because of these points judging by what is said on forums and there are not enough new fans to take their place so it's a catch 22 situation whether the new fans are bothered or not.
  12. What is his Facebook saying Ash 123 or Morrisay Fan statement
  13. Actually was wondering that myself when I saw who posted it.
  14. Better saying nothing than coming out with that statement IMO.How big is his fan club?
  15. Nothing wrong with your posts there is a lot of fans out there with the same thoughts.Speedway cannot be taken seriously as aTeam sport nowadays,it is just 4 riders providing entertainment.Personaly as a Bikesport fan the BSB super bike racing provides a better day out and more value for money nowadays. The sport is failing to attract new fans which is the bottom line and needs a big transformation.
  16. Dont see your point if he already goes to the Speedway he will surely know the position that the Club is in,it's pretty obvious and now a statement has been made.
  17. Think we just have to wait and see who's interested then. Not really much at average fan can do apart from turning up on a Sat night IMO
  18. Cant agree with you on that one.Riders have to accept the crowds are not there to pay the money they are demanding.Imo they are earning decent money ,it is a sport, they don't have to do it if they feel it is not worth the risk.
  19. Think there are a few more PL clubs "not in great shape"
  20. Thats the bottom line in British Speedway it's not a cash cow for mediocre riders ,if the riders don't like the money on offer let them find a job elsewhere.Total revamp needed as usual though about 4/5 seasons too late.
  21. that is the problem in the sport Promoters are paying money that exceeds income.
  22. Personaly I think there is only 1 option, someone buys the club.dont think there are a number of small investors around these days willing to put money into the sport in its present state.I think the sport can still be viable but radical changes need to be made by the people running the sport .The major bugbear this season has to be the number of blank Sat.for whatever reason, people just get out of the habit.
