  1. Edinburgh as predicted showed why they are the best Team in the league, raised their game when required.Glasgow were woeful though.Felt sorry for the Glasgow fans that showed up tonight because the Team didn't .
  2. No ,I was trying to purchase online, can you only do it by phone for tickets other than VIP which now you mention it seems to be the case ,Thanks
  3. Thats the one I tried but seems only VIP is highlighted and other tickets won't let you put quantity in.Perhaps I am not seeing something!!
  4. Trying to get tickets for this match but the only one highlighted and opened up to place quantity required is the VIP tickets. Is any one else having trouble?
  5. Hard to predict the winners overall,Depends which Glasgow turns up tomorrow there are to inconsistant IMO,one thing for sure the bigger the occasion the better the Monarchs perform in recent seasons. Monarchs overall for me.
  6. Give Garcia a loan of one of Cookies 650's and he might get a few points.Dont think his equipment is the best.
  7. One of the problems is mid season when all the riders are busy with other Teams and other country we avoid running fixtures and now these riders have nothing left on the Continent ect.,we are quite happy to run in the cold dark October nights, then they wonder where the fans have went,!!!!
  8. The whole thing is a Joke,PL riders getting wild cards, especially given the situation the Monarchs are in with a chance of winning aTrophy they have competed in a season long competition.Plus there's hardly been a Pl fixture for the last fortnight.Surprised Fricke wasn't given the Wild Card though.Im assuming it has to do with Aussie Final Placings,Fricke is certainly the better rider on this years form.
  9. There's no doubt about it,when the going gets tough Batch goes missing.
  10. Think people are questioning both Promotions from what I have read.Should be a good couple of meetings though.
  11. Young riders have to prove themselves on track to demand bigger points money, they know that when coming into the sport. That has always been the case in the sport.Sponsers and a job is the only way forward in this sport.
  12. The question is if it was not a local Derby would the prices be put up. £20 on the night is a bit much IMO .
  13. How many fans sitting in the Grandstand know the financial goings on at the club though.I certainly don't,that's the Promotions business .
  14. It's only a personal view, but I feel paying more at the gate on the night is maybe off putting to neutral fans, during the season, and perhaps Home fans if numbers are down like has been quoted.
  15. Its a difficult one to discuss, mainly because I think the sport is in turmoil ,don't think the real problem is about who is promoting the sport at Berwick, but what can change in the sport to attract fans back.Unfortunately don't think Promoters know what the real problems are and are at odds with the fans regarding change.Things discussed on this Forum won't change anything IMO .Anything negative just gets shot down in flames and blamed for people not turning up at meetings which is a lot of nonsense IMO .Most clubs are now relying on Owners and Sponsers (and supporters) dipping into their pocket to keep them afloat. We are just going round in circles regarding solutions,as most ideas have already been exhausted on this forum. Is there a future for the sport at Berwick .Only the Promotion know the answer to that Question .IMO
  16. Agree,a small corner of Ingleston would be an ideal venue now with the Trams service .
  17. With due respect, when the quotes given in the article are from a prominent member of the Club it's hard to believe it could be termed any thing else than "doom and gloom" except by yourself. Most fans know that Monarch fans are probably best in the League regarding additional income to the Club every season which is commendable.Perhaps should have said "no comment" to the reporter.
  18. The article in the Evening News is quoting John Campbell's comments ,surely he knows the financial situation as well as anyone in the Club.I agree regarding crowd levels and I think you are correct regarding Team make -ups, it is Select Teams turning up everywhere these days,it certainly doesn't help and is a big problem in the sport IMO . It needs run in a Professional manner.
  19. That was a decent meeting, track look decent too. Holder has lost a it of spark when I have seen him ride this season.Interesting 2nd leg IMO .Poole will be favourites though.
  20. Mr Campbell bemoaning the fact that the fixture is going cost the Monarchs a lot of money and that they have had another loss making season.
