  1. I agree with you ,car sport and bike sport have introduced mechanical measures to try and reduce speeds on circuits(of course tuners then work to get round these changes) and it has made the bikes safer to ride at high speeds, speedway has done nothing except introduce silencers with judging by riders comments make the bikes very unpredictable to ride.Something has to be done IMO .
  2. What about the guy who helped them with their website.!
  3. I have no problem with Ben going elsewhere for the reasons given, but I find it hard to fathom his interview on centre green, why he just didn't explain the possibility of him to another club if he felt fit enough.I can't believe that either him or the Berwick management had no idea this was possibility .A lot of fans will feel let down by the way it was conducted.
  4. They don't really get a lot of track at Berwick, they have honed their skills elsewhere IMO
  5. I think here llies the problem, other bike sports and car sports have improved safety measures AND technical specifications to try and reduce speed of their sport to try and stop accidents and in the main has been successful.Speedway has done nothing regarding the technical side of the sport and the bikes are now lethal weapons in conditions that have barely changed in 50 years (less dirt being the only thing).Things have to be looked at ,there is hardly a meeting now that fans are not standing about waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
  6. Agree,Stadium and land is really an investment for them in the future. They seem to be doing the right things though. The sport itself is the problem.
  7. If you take into account their investment in the facilities they will make a loss ,but if you take into account just the speedway side of things their crowd levels and wages paid they probably won't lose money IMO .Crowd have been decent from what I have been told and their catering and alcohol sales will have brought in a much bigger income.
  8. Dont really think that is the point though. The other Poster was making the point of Official information ,the Club are always telling the fans not to listen to "forum fannies"and wait for Official Statements. There was no link to a Facebook Quote on here.
  9. The only informationI see on here regarding Teams is your Post where you said you are guessing!!
  10. Barker was a free agent as far as I an concerned,BUTwhat do you make of his centre green interview last Sat.
  11. Its obvious that an Independant Body needs to be set up to run the sport.but we all know that's not going to happen
  12. No,only the good ones are published.!!! If any rider though the track was "dangerous "they need to consider what to do to make money. If it was difficult they need to adapt to suit conditions ,the throttle works both ways and set -ups can be altered to suit conditions quite readily by decent riders. How can riders win races in the fastest times recorded this season and say the track is crap.the sport is becoming a joke.
  13. Cook saying this weeks SS that his Ash-Tech tuned engine is awesome when "there is a bit of dirt on the track"which is strange giving his moaning about Berwick after breaking track record, which had that bit of dirt on it.
  14. Put some dirt on the track like 5 years ago and a decent rider like Cook or Kurtz round Sheffield will break the track record, similar to what Cook done at Berwick on Sat,the downside half the other riders can't handle it or will want to go home!!!
  15. As long as his club fans keep supplying money to cover their losses he won't.(commendable of them by the way,but not really helping the sport in general)
  16. The riders are to blame,it's been the case in speedway at every track regarding some riders liking conditions and some not but that is just an excuse, riders have adapt to conditions on the night.Imo is some one like Sissis can do what's wrong with the rest of them.Klindt was an absolute joke for someone who is meant to be an International speedway rider.(well that's probably what it says on his van).Too many 2nd rate speedway riders around these days making some easy money when they feel in the mood.Fans are not going to waste their hard earned money just to hand to them IMO .
  17. Its the riders attitude towards the fans that should be looked at,take the hump if things don't suit no consideration to the paying public.the Berwick fans are not critisizing the track. Some riders were a disgrace on Sat .Speedway is dead duck with riders like them.
  18. Certainly seems to have a chip on his shoulder regarding British Speedway IMO .Good luck to him I feel he will need it with his attitude.
  19. Mushroom syndrome regarding Ben IMO .Why did the article in Newsletter mention he was off.I have no problem with him leaving just the fact he never mentioned it when interviewed on Sat. I'm sure the fans would understand.
  20. After reading the newsletter wonder if Ben told them he was going to Peterborough ,they surely know about it as Peterborough appear to have announced it.
