You obviously did not attend many Berwick meetings to watch the effort he was putting into his meetings!!.in an away meeting at Workington I watch him tour round never beat an opposition rider come back into the pits take his helmet off and sit on his seat till his next ride his mechanic simply refuelled the bike no set up changes so everything must have been ok for him to tour around.I personally was disappointed with him as like a number of other fans though he was a great signing when announced.Everybody knows the score now with him !!!Ps
His scores rocketed after he left Berwick.
When he signed for Berwick I think there was ulterior motive involved but one of his excuses for leaving was he though the small wall behind the track was dangerous, it's been there since the track reopened in the 1980's he had also ridden there for Reading and Swindon so he certain will have to be in the right frame of mind for comeback.Easily put off IMO.
Suffered a serious neck injury fractured 4 vertebrates and bad concussion in Denmark or Sweden in 2013 and seemingly retire but Made a comeback last season.
Sad news,Jimmy was a great guy and a character ,had time for everybody and his stories are legendary . I remember his partnership with Dougie Templeton at Old Meadowbank never a superstar of the sport but a team man through and through.R.I.P.
