  1. Supporting a rider or any supporters event can only benefit the Club and anyone doing so should be applauded.IMO.
  2. they wonder why the sport is in trouble!!!
  3. Berwicks "us" and "them " certainly doesn't help the situation.
  4. looks like a Gold Star Award in the offing.
  5. See the Monarchs and Tigers are still not talking after last seasons fall out ,not good for business but good luck to them.Looks like only local derby will be the league clash .Probably each will boycott their away match.
  6. Exactly ,not at Berwick it seems,it is considered a crime.
  7. Why does Cresent Girl stir it ,when plain and simple he could inform this forum when they items come out in Newsletter if he is that concerned about it. Usual dig at certain individuals .Big Eds letting us know about his university qualifications again although they are not needed to post on here, you just have to be a "forum fanny".!!
  8. Agree ,a step back may be required to get the sport to be taken seriously and attendances might improve.
  9. Why?.as long as the information is correct !
  10. Dont think many Promotions will be shaking in there boots if this signing happens.Nice lad though.Think this 3pt reserve situation will be the subject of manipulation and controversy as the season unfolds just like when it was tried before (Boxall era).
  11. Million Dollar Question,IMO from the entertainment point of view Technology has overtaken the sport in GB and most tracks are not suited to modern machinery.Follow the leader far to often .
  12. Think you will find that Barry Hearn was your man who also pulled darts out the Pub.
  13. Just take a 6 month subscription March to October .
  14. I think Mike was exaggerating slightly regarding can of beer and impeding riots.!!!!!
  15. I don't see any question in your post I'm afraid. You just stated there were averages in 1971 ,you never explained in what context they were used.I first attended speedway in 1960 riders had averages then but it was not used for Team Building the way it is now with limits imposed on team strengths .When the leagues merged in 1965 there was some very strong Teams that were in original National League, they gave the Provincial League League Teams some beatings, but it gave some great excitement when they came to Old Meadowbank.I don't mind if one Team dominated the sport it would give the others something to aim for.I don't think there is a lot of money in the sport to the extent that it would damage the lesser Teams and might attract bigger attendances to smaller clubs when these Teams visit. All we have now is riders worrying about their average and very weak teams. Most fans would like to see their Teams being developed without being broken up because of averages.
  16. When did they put a limit on Team Building averages?
  17. Averages are killing the sport, that will always be my view.
  18. They might buy out the owners of Ashfield!!!!
  19. Bottom line Havvy is just being a plonker,if Kus is not wanting to ride for Redcar what's the point of slapping a transfer on him when virtually every other team in the league just agree loan fees .Dont see other promotions doing him any favours regarding riders if that is always going to be his attitude.
