  1. The good news is that British fans will be able to see the British Champ competing at their track for the rest of the season !!
  2. Good news.Have any of the Promoters who said it was not viable left the scene.
  3. When you look at the riders in fixtures to-night it brings home just how far British Speedway has fallen in World terms, very poor standard IMO .
  4. Chuck Wagon on Sat,get to see some Speedway thrown in.
  5. Not a Woffy fan,but don't see what all the fuss is about, the same fans moaning watch their speedway every week with riders missing ,guests,R/R yet get all excited about a rider missing a meeting .He could have said nothing and just got "a sickness bug" on the week of the British Final.
  6. Who cares!, won't make any difference to crowd levels ,he doesn't even ride for a British Club.
  7. The sport is a joke as far as a serious Competition,I would be p&ssed off if I was a Newcastle fan a good team on paper but will hardly ever see that team on track at the one meeting.
  8. Pity that he has reportedly signed for BV ,Iwould rather watch him progress than Davey who has peaked regarding career.
  9. Probably will be a it more entertaining than Davey, but might not score as many points, take your pick!
  10. speedway is certainly a dry weather sport nowadays. Many fans don't even consider going if there is a cloud in the sky.Myself included ,better things to do than stand around while riders tell the Ref the meeting is Off.
  11. Riders like Klindt are the reason fans desert the sport, just taking their money without trying a leg if he doesn't gate.Pathetic IMO .
  12. I am certainly not Anti- Glasgow was just pointing out a fact ,going by your reply you have just joined me in talking drivel if that is you opinion of the situation regarding admission pricing and average wages doubling
  13. thats what's wrong, riders wages have doubled crowds have declined and clubs are in trouble. They have upgraded their Stadium and spent a lot of money but it will be interesting to see how crowds hold up especially away support which is very sparse these days.
  14. With all the illness and injury reported on Thursday is the Berwick Team at full strength tonight?
  15. Perhaps they saw a home win on the cards and though they better attend as it might be a rare occurance this season if the pundits are right.Plus Berwick brought a bus load of fans as well.
  16. See in SS that admission price on the day for PL matches is £17.50 good luck to them.
  17. Yep! For starters they could refund the admission money irrespective of any other outcome, someone has it in their pocket!!!
  18. Something dodgy about the timing of closure!Imo
  19. 2 home wins would be a good start for the respective Promotions,Berwick win on aggregate.
  20. You are right regarding problems in the sport and Personaly did not see any changes in Winter Agm to resolve any of them.Talk among fans and forum topics suggest crowd levels are poor at a large number of tracks. Its time Promoters stop paying wages they can't afford and stopped this"self interest" approach to success.Feel sorry for Plymouth fans. Its no surprise that recent PL winners suffered heavy financial losses.
