Perhaps looking into bike technology and then putting some dirt onto tracks might help cause. They are just too fast nowadays and tracks have too slick for them when wet weather is forecast.
It's a catch 22 regarding covers,if you can guarantee no rain during the meeting fine but if it is dodgy forecast for the day you can waste your time because they don't ride in wet weather nowadays.
IMO we will be borderline for Top 6 IF clubs complete their fixtures by cut -off date which given the weather this summer might be a struggle .We are a decent team but R/R will give us a hard task to get away points,we provide great matches but getting more than 40 pts with R/R without one of the reserves having a big return will be difficult IMO .A couple of tricky home matches to come as well.
Fine, but the trouble with that thinking is you don't get the benefit of a rider who looked like he could have improved his average which at the end od the day every team is looking for.Jake Allen being another example Somerset took a chance and it looks like paying off. Garcia was also exciting to watch as he gave 100%.
Thats what I admire about Fisher he can "give it out" but he can also "take it" without any fuss, great sportsman. think the riders would be well warned after Monday nights debacle at the starts, they certainly obeyed the starting Marshall and minimum fuss at gate..
Well done to the Glasgow fans for turn-out ,terrific atmosphere some close racing even if there was not much passing.Well done the Fish when he is in the mood he is some entertainer .Its hard to fathom why Berwick did not retain Garcia after giving him his chance last year ,he did show signs of what it takes.
