  1. GP challenge would be good meeting for our National Speedway Stadium
  2. Think Dan is out for the season unfortunately
  3. To be honest if there is still speedway at Berwick next season most fans won't care who the Team Manager is.
  4. We can criticise Greg for age, boring etc .but I the last couple of GP's he has done his fair share of passing. He is a remarkable rider for his age.Im not his biggest fan but you can't knock him.
  5. Youre really like to have a moan about the "other fans " recently. How many fans with a 9-5 Mon-Fri job can go to Ipswich on a Thursday night. Poor example to quote IMO .
  6. Read the 1st post the poster suggested a date in late October for these meetings.
  7. Thats a shame ,but sensible hope he makes full recovery.
  8. Doolan didn't sound enthusiastic when interviewed last night either.
  9. It just appears in British Speedway that that riders some riders just don't want to ride for standard pay rates IMO .
  10. It would IF the speedway is financially viable which is hard to figure out IMO .
  11. Interesting to see who can go the slowest then given the Berwick situation!
  12. Think all matches have to be completed, otherwise there is a fine .
  13. Reckon you are,but don't Quote me.!!! Unless the forecast is running late off course.
  14. Irrespective of the value and the asking price, the biggest problem for any future owner is the financial state the sport is in and reviving the crowd levels to make the purchase viable IMO .At least the there is no big outlay to get the Stadium and Regulatory requirments as everything is in place as the present Promotion done an excellent job on that front.Whether that fact adds value to the price is debatable though.
  15. George Hunter EF when leading Final of 1963 PLRC .There had been controversy regarding Finalists and there had to to an extra heat which he had to ride in.Perhaps he would not have had EF in Final but for that extra heat!
  16. Thanks,it is a it embarrassing all round IMO .Still that is speedway.
  17. Thanks,so Tony and the Ref got it wrong then?
  18. Could you show me rule 15.16 as I can't seem to find it on the link you gave Thanks To end it ,what you are saying the situation at Workington should not have happened?thanks.
  19. Why is Tony Jackson complaining that the rule needs changed because it is dangerous then.Obviosly he and the Ref agree the rule is correct regarding riders going of original gate in Ht1 Ht 14 is valid.Thats what I can't understand the rule appears to be different at each match.Oakes did not intimated that it changed for just Heat 15 his article read that it was for all the meeting.Usual Speedway Rules though. Why is there confusion!
  20. So what about the situation at Workington v Berwick .Peter Oakes had an article in his SS Column at the end of May stating that the riders were going to go off their original gate positions instead of Gate4.so I assumed the rule was changing (as happened at Workington) Since I have attended matches and watch matches on Sky that this has not happened so is it the usual misiterpretation of the rule book by the Ref in charge of the meeting.( I recall a sky match recently where either Garrity or Sargeant touched the tapes in heat 1 and went of gate 4 in the rerun. But in happened. So the picture of Vissing in SS starting in gate 1 should not have happened?
  21. The Andersons "motto "was always about the long term future of Berwick.
  22. Ht7 and Ht12 at workington the riders started 15 mtrs back from their original gate positions. The meeting at Glasgow I referred to the rider started off outside gate. The rule quoted above in other post does not state that riders should start off outside gate except Ht 15 in my interpretation though.
