  1. Correct, but I think even you would admit Newcastle were pretty poor in the 2nd leg.You have a good Team though.I thought last season the heat leaders all had turns of inconsistency at various meetings throughout the season.
  2. They proved that pressure gets to them when going got tough last season.
  3. Its a good team if the bottom end live up to potential but if they don't the top end can be suspect when the going gets tough.Looks a tight league next season though.
  4. Its amazing the number of promotions who state Barker is a great "team" man but few actually keep him.!!!!
  5. Its all about averages nowadays,Trying to find a rider with the right average who will improve it is a difficult situation to be in.If a promotion picks aTeam with a couple of points to spare under the limit they get slated.Campton seem a decent signing to me ,he will ride to his average IMO ,and might improve it.Name 4-6pt men(many have been about for years)who will put 2-3 pts on their average.
  6. It's good for Glasgow to get this meeting, the only criticism I have of the Stadium is the viewing on the back straight, the layout ot the terracing makes very restricted viewing at some parts. If there is a large crowd it might be a concern.Imo
  7. Agree looks like be a very competitive league.Think the BSPA missed a trick by not having 1 big league next season, there is only about 1/2 dozen stand out riders in their "big" league.
  8. Glasgow are sensible, the "top" league is not much better than Premiership. They now have a lot of local derbys with Northern teams. The owners spent their money on stadium improvements now the speedway has to pay for itself .That is a hard ask for any club these days.Sensible choice IMO .
  9. Agree, and anytime I have contacted them regarding a subject my letter was published.
  10. Think you will find there is not a lot of difference in the price of MCN and Star,£117 for annual sub for MCN.Not sure of weekly cost these days.
  11. Im just having a bit of banter with Berwicks Rye House supporter.
  12. The Star is very good for a weekly magazine.Every journalist is entitled to give their view of situations that occur in the sport whether readers agree or not ,it's all about opinions.Constructive criticism is perfectly acceptable I'm sure, but to call the Magazine crap is uncalled for IMO.Still enjoy reading it,keep up the good work. Ps I disagreed with its reporting on the Hancock situation recently, but it's all about opinions.
  13. Looks like Mick bought a double round and told them a load of porkies at th AGM. Feel sorry for Coventry fans, but the running of the Sport is total farce.
  14. Claus always seems to rail off from mid season for some reason.Racing schedule seems to catch up on him
  15. Horton is just a total wide boy, should have been booted out the sport years ago.
  16. Jury out on Schlien for me should do Ok ,might find it a bit to hairy for him,if he doesn't gate had a fair few knocks, best of luck to him though.
  17. What about the training track at Duns that was started last year?
  18. If Mcgregor is the ref he has to be controversial to draw attention to Himself, likes to be noticed that he is in in charge!!!!
  19. I wonder how much the track influenced TJ ,it's "gate and go" nature means riders like him "bust a gut" and get nowhere.Think that was the same with Bellego.Workington has a bit more width about it which will suit him IMO .
