Don't know why fans bother at times sounds like riders rule again,I will say it again as I have said many times ,if this was an Open meeting the would potter round in case they were going. To lose the money on offer .The throttle works both ways!!
Agree, notice in Poland the ref excluded rider even though other rider didn't fall.Imo Smolinski was a little late with his move and gave Pawlicki nowhere to go and the ref got it right, but there are some pretty hard moves going on in GP's these days.Silly comment to ale though.
I agree, the tuners know which bits to use,it's the riders getting the set up right for the conditions on the night. On saying that, it's obvious that PJR has been trumped recently .Gravensen is favour of the month.
I think there is a fair number of fans that attend regular are feeling the same way regarding the sport in general, and we can see by the debates on this forum there is not an easy solution. Its along way back for the sport to raise attendance levels at a number of clubs IMO. Which is sad.
I also think that a lot of riders are on a gaurentees + bonus, espiecially double up/down guys.Could be wrong though! We will never know.Is there a published minimum pay rate for riders through the BSPA .
Panthers select V Newcastle select nothing at stake. The sport has to do better to keep fans interested.Whats the average attendance at Show ground this season?
The way Kurtz and Holder ride it's only time before they cop a serious injury, they have talent but they have ride within there capabilities,Everytime I have seen them this season they have fell off during the meeting.
Taboo subject is points money, Promotions will only tell you that they are losing money and a whip round is nessessary .Promoters are their own worst enemy trying to get "one up".Its all been said before though.Individuals with money are all that's keeping the sport alive at a number of clubs.
Think Wayne stayed at home to take over the family business, scrap metal or waste I think,He died of injuries he received when he was crushed by the falling body of his tipper Lorry.Spoke to him a lot in his Berwick days a great little guy with time for the fans and highly talented.Sadly missed.Very easy going regarding his speedway.Robin Adlington had a few seasons at Berwick after Bradford. Decent rider.
While is is good for to have him in the Team for his points scoring ability,he certainly doesn't look for Team mates during races (ask Thorsell why he had to bail out last week in Sweden).
