  1. We all know covers or no covers the chances of a meeting if it is still raining are very slim nowadays.Health and Safety etc.
  2. This is what is wrong with this sport'season not even started and we don't know who is riding where, surely the Tigers website should say if Harris is not avialable on Sat, so we assume he will be at Workington.Or will he!!!!!
  3. Clubs need a website nowadays,Social medium is everywhere not just speedway forum ,if comments are negative they need looked into and responded too if found to be harmful to the Club.
  4. Take it you blew the interview for a job at the track!!!!!!
  5. Went there few times, loved it,it was a great racing track with the banking, saw the late Vaclav Verner visiting with Exeter he was sensational in action ,back wheel bouncing of the 3rd / 4 bend fence every lap a shooting him down the strait heart in mouth stuff every lap ,didn't seem too bother him though.Sadly Missed.
  6. Really, thanks. ps Who told him the meeting was never going to be on?
  7. Whilst when to call off a meeting is a no win situation these days,I fail to see see what Harris is whinging about as a Professional sportsman he should not be sitting around at lunchtime waiting for a meeting to be called off ,a late rain has never been uncommon in Speedway.Like posters are saying if the rain ceased an hour before start time I sure the track could be prepared for racing ,I have seen the situation many times throughout the years I have attended. The trouble nowadays you don't get meeting run in wet conditions as the riders don't like it. Although the whole Country have been suffering the last week with the weather in Britain it can be very localised. The riders want their cake and eat these days.
  8. Andersons and Granty's at Berwick last few seasons have been excellent.
  9. Don't think we have to worry about huge crowds nowadays!!!!!!
  10. Maybe Belle Vue could produce a better one,the SS is weekly speedway magazine it is not a historical mag.Athough it's winter articles are excellent IMO
  11. While I agree with most of your points regarding calling off this meeting, I have attend Berwick regularly since it opened and I yet to see any problems regarding cars having to be pulled out with tractors! It has been muddy but it's not a difficult place to get out off IMO .
  12. For whatever reasons the a Sport has failed to attract younger fans and keep them interested in the Sport ,and it is now starting to seriously impact the sport.Personaly I feel a lot of Promotions have taken fans for granted for too long.Whilst this is not a critisisum on how they have to run their club to stay viable £18.50 to watch at Armadale is not good value. I agree the riders have a lot to answer for regarding demands. As the top riders drop down leagues and take a lot of money out the sport it will kill it off IMO .
  13. A-z speedway riders might confirm?
  14. Think most Monarchs fans would agree that Armadale has its own Micro- Climate,a few years ago the meeting was dry but a mile away it was pouring down.
  15. Have to agree,20 years ago He would have wanted to ride in these conditions, the Promotions are in no win situation regarding the weather these days.
  16. Thanks,I stand corrected. Was there another Andy Buck?
  17. If you go on Official site and book tickets for the match it tells you the PATG price. £18.50
  18. Think there was 2 Andy Buck's roughly at the same time Eastbourne for one Scunny for the other.Eastbourne Andy was a decent rider in a strong Eastbourne Team.Dugard and Co.
  19. This at the gate price is a joke like you say casual visitors will be few and far between ,that they way the want it though! Good luck with that one.
  20. If the big Dane can stay on the bike he will score a few points I fancy a Glasgow win.
