Have to agree with your last few Posts.It does appear the riders with their demands regarding tracks and wages are dictating the sport as oppose the the people running it.It is meant to be sport first and foremost.Most people realise the catch 22 situation but will it change now or is it too far into the mire.Its obvious regarding entertainment value it getting beyond prices that fans are having to pay regarding family entertainment( more than 1 member attending regular)which the sport has relied on as its basic package.

If the riders donate £1/point of their earnings / meeting that should raise a £'s.

Agree,but own interests come first in Speedway,in the best interests of the Sport of course.!

Monarchs have added Worrell since last meetings,2 wins for Monarchs if Andersson does anything from reserve at Shielfield IMO .

Redcar on paper good team ,on track! Will give Sheffield a hard time if they turn up afew track specialists .

It's a great idea to sign the highest AV rider in league,then use guests when missing,but the guests have to perform which is not gaurenteed ,eg( Schlien at Berwick).Mockery of the sport IMO

GP star Cook really should be cleaning up in these meetings,is he average watching?.His Continental form is poor and he won't be getting many offers IMO.

Don't know the answer,but perhaps because Iversen replaced him as a tactical it may count as a ride.Speedway rules are a bit confusing!!!

Best summer for 40 years 1/2 the fixtures and we still get it wrong.Still you can blame the weather if fixtures don't get finished in time.

I'm pleased to read that most Speedway fans just see the forum as a depressing joke and the only problem is overpricing,and I though the sport was in trouble.

Glasgow away win will be a worry for Monarchs play off chances if Worky manage to win matches in hand,although Monarchs are still well in the race and with Team changes are looking strong.

Unfortunately it's only the fans that think track preparation is not up to scratch a lot of the time.

He done the same move when at Berwick couldn't be bothered making the effort,it's in the rules that they can have a day off if they want.

If Monarchs make play -Off's I fancy there's chances of winning them.

Seems a strange Masterplan

Like people are pointing out it has to come down a level to give the sport a chance to recover.That is my opinion too.

Like you say life goes ,but I'm afraid your comparison to Newcastle United is naive and not comparable to speedway in general.You seem to take the same view as your fellow "dirt" columnist Mr Barrie regarding "old" fans saying we really need to forget about them and we need to look to the future attracting new fans and intimating we have everything in place with our " children go free" in place hoping to convert them in later years which is excellent ,unfortunately IMO the problem is who pays the riders for next 6-8-10 years till these children start paying at the gate, if they stick around .Also a lot of the missing fans in recent season were not the "die-hards" yearning for the " heydays" but people who no longer think the entertainment value does match the cost.I have attended Berwick since it opened in 1968 and still see most of that generation that are still with us and their families still on the terraces ,the bottom line is we are not attracting a new generation of Adults.Speedway is in difficult place and most of the problems are discussed on various forums, unfortunately it is just social media and will not solve anything.It is up to the sports Governing bodies to sort it out.Unfortunatly IMO they are struggling.

Mark Riss is very Inconsistant IMO.( from race to race) but we will have to wait and see.Jye is worth taking a chance on for some of the other Teams IMO .

Think the ref should issue warning for riders that move back from tapes after the start Marshall moves the forward into position ,it happens frequently while the ref turn away to deal with the other riders,there should be procedure for lining them up bring them forward in gate order 1-4 and if they move back warn then for the rest of the meeting.If no rider touches the tapes do not stop the race.While the ref at Cardiff was shocking he did admit his mistake when he look at video replay,most meetings don't have that option and the split second reaction often gets penalised for a perfect start.we had all witnessed perfectly good starts being brought too often.
