While that wasn’t the best meeting last night,all this about crap track and crap racing,didn’t see any riders struggling with track ,one crash all night.If that was the case last night I have seen dozens of meetings over the years which come into that category.! The Poole fans are still turning up so they don’t agree either. Just the usual Poole haters whinging🤔

Anybody would think it’s Poole’s fault that the away Teams can’t gate.Most opposition riders have rode at Poole for years.Obviously they haven’t learned much.

Totally agree with ‘journeymen’earnings’ it can’t be sustainable.Interestingly in the Harry Oxley obituary in SS last week Penhall said Harry guaranteed the riders 35% of the gate receipts . Thats a business man and Promoter.Knew how too run his sport.

Club Speedway is not dead,it just needs to get back to being “Club Speedway” not every rider riding for any Club during season.Fans want to see “their” riders every week.Take a leaf out of Polands book no guests they promote juniors.At least the fans are seeing their riders .Dont think it spoils the entertainment and produces new talent. NDL riders deserve a chance. IMO

Speedway is just circus now in UK with the same riders putting on a show at different venues and different Clubs during the week.Half of them don’t know who is their Teammate is on the night at any given meeting.

Definitely think a Saturday Afternoon is not good day to run a meeting.But don’t know the main decision for this .Know the don’t have floodlights. accommodating rider demands is killing the sport fixtures are too sporadic.Fans could probably accept once a Fortnight better.

Agree,need to call their bluff.Sport might have to drop a grade but the entertainment value won’t. Like you have said the speed will not drop significantly.

You could stop paying equivalent of Annual Salary for a 5 month season in UK. Majority of Top Earners also ride in Europe too,would like to see the Average P60 for riders. Time to call their bluff .IMO.

Until Promoters stop paying riders more money than is coming into the Clubs the problem will never end.Just the sport.

Think that is also an issue.Its a fair distance from Public Transport.Its a sign of the trouble the sport is in when such an entertaining track can’t get a decent level of support. most of the issues raised are valid though.

There seems to be a reluctance by most Clubs too run on their off day these days. When you run 3-4 weeks without a fixture it’s obvious the season will not shortened even with only 9 Clubs.Nothing changes though same old problems at the end of every season.
